Cruising was all the rage in 2023, 2024, and it absolutely has continued into 2025! A luxury yet adventure filled vacation visiting multiple destinations without having to pack up and move every day or so is the perfect vacation for all generations! Meals, entertainment, and excursions built into a magical vacation is a great way to spend your PTO. The cruising industry is about to expand with the new ships announced from Disney Cruise Line!
A brand new ship class will be introduced to the fleet in 2029! That is only the beginning though, there are two more ships right behind it being introduced in 2030 and 2031. Disney Destinations states that the new ship class will be roughly 20 percent larger than the Disney Magic/Disney Wonder Class but smaller than the Disney Dream/Disney Fantasy and Disney Wish/Disney Treasure.
The new ships will feature new power and propulsion systems on top of being lighter in weight. The hull will be shaped more streamlined which will assist in saving fuel. To help save energy, the ship will also be able to utilize energy and turn off their engines and use power from the shore side.
We have already received the Disney Wish, Disney Treasure, and are currently awaiting the arrival of Disney Destiny. In 2027, the Wish Class will receive a brand new ship! But that’s all we have.
