In recent years, the following year for Walt Disney World travel was released around mid-year (May/June). This year reservations were released earlier than it ever has been, February 27, 2024 for those looking to travel in January 2025 through October 2025. Also with the news of the 2025 reservations opening came a new perk for 2025 Disney World visits! During your check-in day, guests staying on Walt Disney World Resort property will have complimentary admission into a Walt Disney World water park!
Walt Disney World has two amazing water parks, Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon and Disney’s Blizzard Beach. Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon has 11 attractions, one of which is designed for children under 48”. The Ketchakiddee Creek area is designed for the smaller children with a few shallow areas connected that feature mini watersides, splash areas, and water squirters. Some of the other areas include waterslides for those over 48”, a lazy river named Castaway Creek, and a wave pool that features up to 6-foot swells named Typhoon Lagoon Surf Pool.
Disney’s Blizzard Beach also has 11 attractions, plus a fun Chairlift that takes guests to the top of Mount Gushmore. The area for the little ones under 48” is called Tike’s Peak. With a Disney’s Frozen theme, there are small waterslides, wading pool, and water jets. Ski Patrol Training Camp has a balancing ice float, a zip line, and body slides.
Staying on property at Walt Disney World has so many benefits on top of the complimentary access to a water park on your check-in day! Guests on property have complimentary shuttle service to the parks including bus service, SkyLiner, and Monorail (depending on your selected resort). Guests staying on property also receive Early Entry into the parks beginning 30 minutes prior to parks opening to general daytime guests.
