In the recent news, Splash Mountain inside Disneyland took its final ride on May 31, 2023. The doors of the ride have officially been closed at both Walt Disney World and Disneyland to make room for the transformation into Tiana’s Bayou Adventure. But with this closure, there is always a brighter side of the bayou, the music that makes everyone tap their foot. Let’s explore the amazing musicians that help create the works of art for not only the new attraction, but also for the film “The Princess and the Frog.”

Two award winning artists, both local New Orlean residents, will work together to create the musical pieces that will be the soundtrack to the new and upcoming attraction. PJ Morton and Terence Blanchard will be crafting the musical tracks to a “lyrical love letter” as stated by Disney Destinations. This will be an original song for Tiana's Bayou Adventure.
Terence Blanchard is well known for his musical talents as Louis the Alligator. When you hear Louis playing his trumpet in “The Princess and the Frog,” the artist behind those notes is Terence. He has also won seven Grammy awards for his talents.
PJ Morton has written a few songs for the film “The Princess and the Frog.” He will also be writing another original song for Tiana's Bayou Adventure. PJ has won four Grammy awards, and has been nominated for six years in a row.
In honor of all of the hard work these two talented artists have put towards the music of the film and attraction, Disney Destinations present both of them with a beautiful piece of art that displays the artist with musical critters.
