The Walt Disney Co. was very generous today with news of some of their newest projects on both coasts.
The highly anticipated Pandora: The World of Avatar at Disney's Animal Kingdom has been years in the making and a solid date for opening has finally been announced.
Pandora will open on May 27. The World of Avatar will transport guests to Pandora where they will find 2 new rides, Avatar: Flight of Passage and the Na'vi River Journey.
Also announced today was a rough opening date for Star Wars lands in both Walt Disney World and Disneyland.
Originally announced at the D23 Expo in 2015, not much has been revealed about what to expect from Star Wars land, but at least we now know *when* to expect is. Disney announced that these new sections on both coasts will open in 2019. The announcement was made by Bob Iger during the Q1 FY17 earnings call. The Star Wars land expansion at Walt Disney World and Disneyland will be the largest, single themed land expansions ever.
Excited things to come for Disney and I'm personally looking forward to the attractions openings in the next few years to come!
