Recently Disney has released a new Haunted Mansion film. Hopefully by the time you are reading this I have had a chance to see it, and I am so excited for it! Disney theme parks, both Walt Disney World and Disneyland, are celebrating the new release. Let’s see what the future holds for these new releases.
The Haunted Mansion attraction inside Disney’s Magic Kingdom will receive a new overlooking friend. The Hatbox Ghost will be making an appearance in the Endless Hallway heading towards the downward slope of the cemetery. There is no exact date for when the new ghost will appear, it could be out of thin air, so keep your eyes peeled.
Inside Disneyland Resort, guests visiting the parks will have the opportunity to view the new costume worn by Jamie Lee Curtis, who plays Madame Leota. The Disneyland Story presenting Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln will have the dress on display for a limited time, along with some of the concept art for the film and never props used during the making of the movie! Walt Disney Presents Theatre located inside Walt Disney World’s Hollywood Studios will also receive a similar display.
As with every Disney Destination celebration, guests will have the opportunity to purchase some limited edition tasty treats to help commemorate the newest addition to the film vault. Disneyland Park will offer a new inspired menu at Cafe Orleans that will be pre-fixe. Included on the inspired menu will be a Vanilla Mousse and Seafood Boil.
Also making an appearance at Disneyland is the April-December Churro. This churro is sprinkled with strawberry-flavored sugar and topped with a mix of fresh diced strawberries, freeze dried strawberries, a purple cherry flavored sugar, and finally donut icing.
Constance, our beloved bride, will have her own menu item of a potato and leek soup. The soup, Constance Concoction, will be served with a pea flower crème fraiche and fried leeks inside of a sourdough bread bowl. Harbour Galley, located right across from the Haunted Mansion attraction will have this ghoulish item.
Everyone loves a good sweet treat to help get through an exciting park day. Disneyland will have two. The first is a Madame Leota Cereal Treat, which can be found at Candy Palace and Candy Kitchen. This pop is made with crisped rice cereal, and shaped into a crystal ball, then covered in dark chocolate and chocolate candies. Madame Leota makes her appearance on the front of the candy pop with a chocolate piece. Guests will also be able to enjoy this special treat at Walt Disney World! The second sweet item will be available for purchase at Royal Street Veranda and Harbour Galley. This Pickwish Ghost Punch is a sweet swirl of juices, both fruit and citrus, along with some sherbet.
The design team at Disney never disappoints when the infamous sippers are created. With the premier of the new movie, and addition to the attraction, it is only fitting that the new sipper is Hatbox Ghost! I’m sure he will sell quickly, be sure to purchase yours inside New Orleans Square and Critter Country before they vanish!
Walt Disney World will be offering different treats, but just as tasty! A Mickey-Shaped Caretaker beignets are introduced to the menu. The classic beignets are topped with Cookies and Cream Powdered Sugar with a marshmallow drizzle. There will also be a new speciality cocktail called Playful Spirits Margarita, which will be crafted with Patron Silver Tequila. Both of these amazing items can be found at the Disney’s Port Orleans Resort- French Quarter restaurant, Scat Cat’s Club.
The Stretching Room portraits have made their way into chocolate! The Ganachery, located at Disney Springs, has crafted these elongated photos into chocolate ganache bars. Each bar will feature a different flavor of pistachio, salted caramel, chipotle, and passion fruit as described by Disney Destinations.
Happy Haunts Shake has made is frightful return to Columbia Harbour House this year. A blackberry milkshake that is completed by a chocolate doughnut with purple frosting and the purple staring wallpaper straw. The wallpaper has also made its way onto the Peanut Butter and Jelly Push Pop container at Sleepy Hallow!
