There’s always room for one more, or more themed space in this instance. Have you been to Disneyland and experienced the Haunted Mansion? Soon Disneyland’s Haunted Mansion attraction will be gaining a new themed space and will be opening in 2024. This new space will be utilized as a new outdoor queue featuring some garden space that was inspired by the main characters for the film. The queue also builds on the storyline of the film.
Disney Destinations has noted that “each of the gardens will feature unique elements…” meaning that there will be more than one garden! It seems that Master Gracey, Madame Leota, and the one-eyed cat will each receive a dedicated space added to the attraction queue. Featured in the garden grounds will be a water fountain, a green house, and even a gazebo. But do not fret, the horse drawn hearse continues to stay on the attraction property.
Also with the new addition will be a new merchandise location. The new shop will be the carriage house that belongs to Madame Leota. There will be more details on this new retail area prior to its opening.
Between the Haunted Mansion attraction and Tiana’s Palace restaurant, there will also be an improved area for guests to enjoy. This area will be set like a park for guests to take a few moments and relax while enjoying the scenery. There will also be live entertainment scheduled for guests to enjoy.
Construction for the new queue and park-like area is slated to begin in January 2024 with no announced completion date. Also being added is a new elevator accommodation at the exit to better assist guests with disabilities.
