Yes that’s right! New treats are going to be coming to Disneyland for Celebrate Soulfully! We love all the different events that take place not only for their meanings and reasons for celebration but also for their amazing snacks and drinks that come with! Guests will get to embrace their soulful side during Celebrate Soulfully! This event is honoring Black heritage and culture and there will be flavorful treats, eats, and sips to go along with!
Disneyland resort will have multiple locations highlighting Black Music Month with exciting experiences filled with food, entertainment, art, and always, music! But when it comes to the eats- guests will be delighted! They will get to taste test Chicken-coconut Curry Sweet Potato at Troubadour Tavern hosted by Dreyer’s™ or the delicious Peaches and Cream Funnel Cake Fries from Award Wieners. Oh but wait there’s more! “Tale of the Lion King” will be debuting at Disneyland Park on May 28 as well as live entertainment bringing sounds of classic Black music genres like Doo-Wop and Motown. All this wonderful entertainment will have guests “celebrating soulfully”!

But wait…. There’s More food!!!!! Starting May 28, Troubadour Tavern hosted by Dreyer’s at Disneyland Park will be showcasing many new items. These include quick bites such as Salted Plantain Chips or the Berbere-spice Popcorn tossed with a warming blend of spices. A main dish option will be Chicken-coconut Curry Sweet Potato features a baked sweet potato topped with a Malawian chicken-coconut curry. Did you think they forgot dessert? Guests can indulge with a Hakuna Matata Sweets offer up a trio of animal print cookies, including a coconut macaroon, pineapple orange thumbprint, and a butter chocolate chunk cookie topped with cacao nibs and a white chocolate animal print décor. Wow! The tastebuds are firing up! A few fun beverages include: Cardamom Cold Brew which is made up of cold brew coffee, brown sugar, and cardamom over ice and thePride Rock Punch- Gold Peak tea, pineapple, mango, tamarind, and orange juice over ice.

Over at Disney California Adventure Park the Award Wieners will have some treats featured from June 1 through September 2! Including: Foot-long BBQ Pulled Pork Dog puts an all-beef foot-long hot dog on a toasted bun topped with BBQ pulled pork, fried onions, and a creamy slaw and for dessert Peaches and Cream Funnel Cake Fries dusted with cinnamon sugar and finished with whipped topping and peach glaze drizzle.
Downtown Disney will also have a few new treats for guests to try. We have said it many times, but be sure to bring your appetite to these special events! The amazing Chefs at Disney always aim to please and most definitely always succeed!
