Disney Cruise Line is the magic of Disney outside of the parks and at sea. There is music, Mickey Waffles, entertainment, and favorite characters. The newest ship, Disney Treasure, will be setting sail later this year. We have been given a few details regarding the dining options, lounges, and themes of staterooms. We now have more information regarding one of the Broadway Style shows that will take place in the theater. The Disney Treasure will feature a “Disney The Tale of Moana.” This show will be exclusive to this ship. The puppets that will be used for this magnificent stage show have been designed by the same designer for “The Lion King” the Broadway show. It has been announced that Te Ka, the fiery volcanic looking villain of the movie will be a part of the performance as a puppet and I have no doubt that it will be absolutely astonishing.

As with most Disney Broadway musicals, there are original songs created for the show, and the Disney Cruise Line musicals are no exception. “Disney The Tale of Moana” will showcase the new number “Warrior Face” that will be performed by Moana and Maui. Disney Destinations has also announced that “You’re Welcome,” “How Far I’ll Go,” and “We Know the Way” will be part of the lineup, which is super exciting! The show will surely be a sing along for the entire family.
The one and only, Grandma Tala, makes her return to the show as a spirit narrator. Throughout the performance we are taken along the journey from the beginning of how the water chose Moana, and throughout her entire voyage.
While the theater itself is a beautiful work of art, the entire place is transformed with music, lights, and backdrops into a masterpiece. Not only will guests enjoy “Disney The Tale of Moana,” they will also be entertained by “Beauty and the Beast,” and “Disney Seas the Adventure.”
