In the past few months, Disneyland Resort has received some extra magical upgrades to its resorts. An entire new tower, swimming pools, and now even more dining options! The Villas at Disneyland Hotel began welcoming guests on September 28, 2023 in the Discovery Tower with the option of Duo Studios, Deluxe Studios, 1 and 2 Bedroom Suites, and even Grand Villas. Disney’s Paradise Pier Resort is also currently receiving some new upgrades and renovations as it transitions to Disney's Pixar Pier Hotel. Both have brand new dining options!
The first new dining location is the Palm Breeze Bar. This dining option features screens throughout the location displaying art and the artists that have helped create Disney movies and Disneyland Park.
The menu features family favorites like pizza and burgers plus vegetarian and healthy selections for everyone. The shareable menu features items like Cheese Fry Poutine, Ahi Tuna Takai, and even Cocktail Chicken Wings. There are eight different types of salads offered, and a plant based Garden Pizza. Chicken sandwiches and burgers are also there for those that like to stay on the safe side of the menu, while a Jumbo Lump Crab Roll is also offered. For the children items like Grilled Cheese, Grilled Chicken Breast, and Cheeseburger Sliders are an option.
Desserts are a must try here as Ice Cream Sandwiches, Molten Chocolate Cake, and Beignets (yes, beignets!). There are also a wide variety of cocktails and mocktails available.
The second new dining location is located at Disney’s Paradise Pier Resort. The restaurant, only being one many upgrades, is filled with yellows, greens, and blue furniture for a bright and happy atmosphere while the food is on the comfort side of the menu with seasonal ingredients.
The menu here currently features items like Portobello Mushroom Fries, Parmesan Truffle Fries, Mac & Cheese, and more for the Shareable menu. The brunch menu includes Buttermilk Pancakes, French Toast Logs, Fried Chicken & Doughnuts just to name a few. The Lunch and Dinner menu also feature those same items as you can choose to have breakfast for dinner every day! Other items on the menu include New York Steak, Maple Pecan Crusted Salmon, Hot Honey Fried Chicken Sandwich, and a Falafel Wrap. Great Maple American Eatery is also serving up fresh Beignets on their dessert menu! I see a beignet tasting and ranking in my future with so many options now! The menu also includes cocktails, beer, and wine options.
