When I think of visiting Walt Disney World, I think rides, snacks, and characters! This Summer and Fall new character interactions will be added to three parks!
If you’re heading over to Disney’s Magic Kingdom in the fall, you may notice that the 50th Anniversary celebration is coming to an end on March 31,2023. However you may be excited to hug the newest character that will be greeting you with the biggest smile, Mirabel from Disney’s “Encanto!” Mirabel will start welcoming guests later this year at Fairytale Garden, which is located to the right of the castle. Currently, you will find Merida meeting guests in Fairytale Garden, but it will soon be enchanted into the Madrigal magic.
While EPCOT is hosting the celebration of Disney100, Mickey and Minnie will be there in their brand new platinum attire! Another friend that has received a lot of attention this past year is also coming to EPCOT to meet guests, Figment! He will be found at Imagination! Pavilion. Sometimes you can find Mickey Mouse there, right outside of the Disney and Pixar Short Film Festival. I cannot wait to see Figment! He has been a favorite of mine for a while, and you will have the song stuck in your head all day! There has not been a time frame set for the Disney100 celebration, so be sure to visit while it is still there!
The third park to have a new face this year is Disney’s Animal Kingdom which will be welcoming Moana! While Moana has been at the parks for a few years now, she has only been featured during special events like Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween and Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party. Beginning April 22, 2023, Moana will be at Disney’s Animal Kingdom on Discovery Island! While the exact location has not been announced, I am excited to see where they feature her!
