As we are starting to move our way out of winter and closer to spring there are some new tastes arriving to parks and resorts. There are new openings, updates and treats coming!

Starting with the new treats at Walt Disney World, Backlot Express at Disney’s Hollywood Studios will have some menu updates. Starting March 29, this updated menu is going to debut with delicious dishes including a Cuban Sandwich, Smoked BBQ Pulled Pork Burger, Teriyaki Tofu Bowl, and Chicken Southwest Salad. These awesome additions are really going to bring amazing flavors to this dining option. But wait, let’s not forget about dessert. The Wookie Cookie is back and it a must try treat. All these awesome options can be picked up from Backlot Express through Mobile Order.
Over at Animal Kingdom, guests are going to really be roaring for the new offerings coming! One new addition will be over in Africa, the Kusafiri Coffee Shop & Bakery will be serving up a Marinated Pork Flatbread Sandwich featuring marinated pork atop of a cucumber-tomato salad, harissa aïoli, and greens with house-made chips, as well as the Spiced Potato Hand Pies, fried pastries with seasonal vegetables and potatoes. There are also a few new sugary bites being added- Wilderness Explorer Cupcakes, and over at Pizzafari Guests will find the Flamingo Badge Cupcake, a coconut cupcake with exotic fruit filling, coconut frosting, white chocolate pearls and a white chocolate flamingo badge. A few other options will include: ive at the Flame Tree Barbecue the Dragonfly Badge Cupcake and the Dinosaur Badge Cupcake can be found at Restaurantosaurus.
Over at the resorts there are some great changes coming too! Over at Coronado Springs Resort, the Barcelona Lounge recently began featuring live music on Wednesdays and Thursdays. Guests can even make a Build-Your-Own Gin and Tonic while listening to the amazing music. Down by the Bayou at Disney’s Port Orleans resort guests can taste new beignets and beverages at Scat Cat’s Club – Lounge. The Oyster Beignet Po’Boy is a Mickey-shaped beignet with fried oysters, lettuce, tomato, Cajun rémoulade, and house-made pickles served with potato chips. Guests can also sip on some specialty cocktails while they are enjoying these tasty snacks.
Also many people have been wondering if Victoria & Albert’s would be opening its doors and it has been confirmed that it will be later this year!

Last but not least, Disney Springs will have a new venue coming called Swirls on the Water. This location, starting March 15, will be offering many different and unique flavors of Dole whip. How yummy do these sound? Lime & Habanero Soft-serve Nachos featuring waffle cone chips topped with DOLE Whip lime and habanero soft-serve, mango boba pearls, Tajin spice, raspberry sauce, and whipped cream, or the 50th Celebration Cone with a DOLE Whip lemon and cookie dough soft serve swirl.
