Universal Orlando Resort has many exciting and delicious restaurants and dining options! You’ll find plenty of tempting snacks and treats everywhere you look, and it can seem overwhelming when making a choice. As a travel agent with Marvelous Mouse Travels, I take my research very seriously, and researching the best snacks is one of my favorite parts of this job! Here are a few of my favorite snacks around Universal Orlando.
It’s a known fact that you cannot go to Universal Orlando Resort without trying a butterbeer in the Wizarding World of Harry Potter! This sweet, butterscotch-flavored treat comes in many versions: Frozen, Hot, Cold, Ice Cream, and Fudge! My two favorite kinds are frozen and ice cream.
Speaking of ice cream…Florean Fortescue’s Ice Cream Parlour is where you’ll find the delicious butterbeer ice cream. There are many other unique ice cream flavors in this shop. My personal favorite is the Chili Chocolate Ice Cream. It has just a little kick to it, but it isn’t too spicy!
My favorite savory snack is in Seuss Landing at Islands of Adventure. Tots are always a delicious treat, but these tots are next-level! You’ll find several varieties of tot dishes here, and they are big enough for sharing! My favorite options are the Buffalo Chicken tots and the Pizza tots.
City Walk is home to this fun donut shop! You’ll find so many flavors of donuts, from the mainstream glazed to experimental flavors and seasonal items. The special Halloween donut is a powdered voodoo doll with green apple filling! Travel agent pro tip: there is almost always a long line to get into the store. You can mobile order from the Universal app! You’ll pick your donuts up at a kiosk located across the way from the store. Of course, if you’ve never been in the store before, it might be worth it to wait in line so you can see the donuts up close and in person before you make your choices.
Universal Orlando comes alive several times yearly with festive theming, special events, and delicious food. You’ll find several kiosks located around Universal Studios with unique themed food offerings! If you visit during Halloween Horror Nights, be sure to try the Twisted Tater. This fried, spiralized potato is served on a skewer and is seasoned with your choice of seasoning salt, garlic parmesan, ghost pepper, porcini, or chive seasonings. Be sure to dig in while it’s hot and crispy!
These are just a few of my favorite snacks around Universal Orlando Resort. There are so many options, and it’s almost impossible to narrow them down to these few!
