Are you looking for a family friendly, all inclusive resort with great food options for kids and adults alike? I'd suggest considering a trip to Beaches Turks and Caicos! While the resort is known for its beautiful beaches and crystal blue water, it also has twenty one delicious restaurants. Four of these options are in a quick service format in food trucks which makes them perfect for families. It's also great for the quick "grab and go" meal to enjoy by the pool or on the way back to the room for an afternoon nap.
Mr. Mac has a range of artisan macaroni and cheese options that are served from the cutest yellow food truck located next to the water park area at Beaches Turks and Caicos. It is complete with outdoor seating, umbrellas, and even a self serve fountain drink machine, at the perfect height for kids!
As a travel agent who enjoys assisting families with their all inclusive vacations, I look for dining options that would suit guests of all ages. Mr. Mac is just that!!
The menu features ten different varieties of macaroni and cheese, from the basic All American to allergy friendly mac and even fancier options like Blazin' Buffalo Chicken Mac. With a menu like this, I just HAD to try them all. Since Beaches Turks and Caicos is an all inclusive resort, it was the perfect time to do this as all food and drinks are included with the stay. To make it even more fun, I got together with a few travel agent colleagues and we developed the following "awards".
The "Big Cheese" award goes to our favorites, and it was a three way tie! The Philly Cheese Steak Mac was cheesy and creamy, with great flavor. The Blazin' Buffalo Chicken Mac had large pieces of chicken (get your fork and knife) and a nice balance between the blue cheese and buffalo sauce. The Pulled Pork Mac dish had plenty of sauce, sweet pulled pork, and macaroni of course. Delish!
The award for best presentation goes to Taco Mac. Topped with chips, guacamole, and sour cream, the macaroni is just one part of this attractive and delicious dish.
Most surprising honors goes to the Deep Fried Mac Balls. We weren't sure what they would taste like, and they were excellent. This dish is perfect when you're on the go and kids would love them too! You may want to get two orders, as each comes with two bite-sized mac balls.
The largest portion award is given to the Deluxe Cheeseburger Mac. This boat was overflowing with delicious macaroni, ground beef, shredded lettuce, a large pickle spear, and even a bun. You can eat it on the bun or with a fork, but you will have a lot to eat! If you're super hungry, try this one.
Special recognition goes to the Garden Veggie which was similar to a pasta primavera with veggies, penne pasta, and a light sauce. Great option for those who need gluten or dairy free dining.
The final recommendation by our group of travel agents is.....leave room for dessert! The Curls N Swirls ice cream truck is just steps away and they have tons of options to choose from as well.
