As a travel agent, I spend a lot of time helping clients plan their dream vacations — and one of my favorite recommendations, especially for Alaska, is Celebrity Cruises. Despite booking several Celebrity cruises for my clients, I had never personally sailed with them before. That all changed this February when the snowy Indiana weather had me craving sunshine, and I decided to book a last-minute escape to warmer waters.
Even better? I brought along my youngest travel buddy, Nick — my fellow cruise enthusiast and adventure-loving sidekick. For those of you who have followed our travels, you know that Nick has never met a cruise ship he didn’t love, and Celebrity Cruise Line was no exception!
From the moment we stepped onboard, I could tell this wasn’t just any cruise. Celebrity’s ships are absolutely stunning — elegant, modern, and designed to wow from the first glance. While some cruise lines lean into bold colors and over-the-top decor, Celebrity’s style felt sophisticated and classy, but still very welcoming for families like ours.
As a mom, I immediately appreciated the layout and the ease of getting around the ship. Nick, on the other hand, had his eyes locked on the pool deck — priorities, right?
One of the biggest questions Marvelous Mouse travel agents get is whether Celebrity would feel “kid-friendly” enough. While it’s known for its upscale vibe, I’m happy to report that Nick found plenty to keep him entertained! From the Camp at Sea to the pool to the sports deck, there was always something fun to do. And for me? I loved the variety of lounges, quiet spaces, and of course, the incredible dining options.
I could write an entire blog post just about the food — it was that good. From gourmet meals to casual bites, everything we tried was top-notch. Nick gave the burgers and pizza his official stamp of approval, while I couldn’t get enough of the fresh seafood and creative desserts.
Now that I’ve experienced Celebrity firsthand, I can confidently say this cruise line is a fantastic choice for so many types of travelers. Whether you’re planning a romantic getaway, a multigenerational family trip, or even a solo escape, Celebrity offers something special.
