San Fransokyo Square, the new reimagined area inside Disney California Adventure Park, has been releasing some new updated information with the official opening just around the corner. With the Foodie Guide being released, and what features the new area will display, Big Hero 6 fans will likely want to spend more time in the area than ever before.
First there will be the Hamada Bot Shop. The new shop is designed after where “Big Hero 6 team builds and innovates their hi-tech gear” as described by Disney Destinations. Be on the lookout for a few great inventions of theirs while looking around. Right outside of the shop you will find Hiro and Baymax greeting fans!
With every new theme land at Disney, there will be select merchandise available for purchase. Inside of San Fransokyo Maker’s Market you will find all things Big Hero 6. From apparel, household items, and so much more! The shop is built to resemble a battle bot storage area. Looking around you will find some many incredible pieces to bots and even a spectacular surprise if you look around high enough.
Throughout the parks you will find machines that allow guests to purchase gold coins with different characters and featuring different events. In San Fransokyo you will find a machine that will offer the gold medallions with Hiro, Baymax, and their friends! These make a wonderful collectable souvenir that will be memorable for years to come.
The new and converted dining and beverage locations all have a play on the film. Aunt Cass Café is designed after Aunt Cass from the film, Hiro’s Aunt, is a play on her restaurant in the film. While entering the venue to dine on delicious food, you will also find a mural of Mochi, her pet cat on the wall.
Across the way, you will find a beverage area that is “owned” by a “repair technician who maintains the floating wind turbine” as stated by Disney. Perched atop of the building, you will find a giant wind turbine structure that resembles a koi fish.
