This year has been unique to say the least and the transition back to operating theme parks has been an even more unique ride… no pun intended. Over the last few months different dining locations, experiences, and even small character encounters have started to come back into the mix! This has been a great step in the right direction for Walt Disney World.
Well today we received some great news! More dining locations are set to reopen! Two resort dining locations are scheduled to start serving their amazing dishes this coming month! They are Story Book Dining at Artist Point in the Wilderness Lodge and Boatwright’s Dining Hall at Port Orleans Riverside resort.

Story Book dining will be available to book starting December 2 with tables to begin seating December 16 of this year! This character dining experience Guests will see Snow White, Dopey, Grumpy, and The Queen stroll through the Enchanted Forest as the dining room transforms throughout the evening as if they are really outside. The menu is a prix fixe dinner with the choice of individually plated entrées and shared starters and desserts. For example, Guests can start their adventure with a wickedly refreshing cocktail like the Enchanted Apple with a hint of sour apple. The Royal Prime Rib Roast and the vegetarian A Stroll Through Nature are both returning as well as the decadent “Poison” Apple dessert with dark chocolate-apple mousse. Each option is a piece of the story the guests are getting to experience.

Boatwright’s Dining Hall will be start serving dinner starting December 14th with reservations starting to be made December 2nd. The menu will containSouthern specialties with flavors of the Louisiana bayou. There are favorites on this menu from the prime rib to the jambalaya, but one of the fan favorites is the all-you-care-to-enjoy Chef’s Platter featuring ribs, Nashville hot chicken, smoked sausage, and barbecued beef brisket with mashed potatoes, mac & cheese, street corn, and green beans. Doesn’t that sound like a literal mouth full!? But it is absolutely wonderful and just the best comfort food out there! But the real trick will be saving room for dessert after one of these entrees! If you have room you need to try the Mississippi Mud Crème Brûlée, a decadent chocolate brûlée with a chocolate shortbread cookie. Yummm!!!! Be ready to make your reservations starting this week!
