We have officially reached Halfway to Halloween! So many things happen during the Halloween season, and Walt Disney World is one place that does not lack excitement for the holiday! The official announcement of Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party returning and the select party dates have been released, and tickets are already on sale for those dates! Tickets become available for guests with Walt Disney World property reservations on May 8, 2024 and for those guests not staying on property on May 15, 2024. Tickets are limited for each event and will likely sell out. We also have some fun activities happening during the Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party that are a must do! The first thing that most people think about when they hear Halloween is Trick-or-Treating! Kids, young and young at heart, are able to trick or treat their way around the park. There are quite a few locations to stop by and gain some sweets for your bag or you can ask for an allergy friendly option for those with allergies.
Debuting for 2024 are the new costumes for Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse! Mickey and Minnie will have new spider inspired costumes! Minnie with a fun purple top and green skirt that have a frightfully fun spiderweb design, a matching purple witches hat, and striped tights. Mickey has a similar inspired outfit but with a cool suit. The suit itself is green with the spiderweb design on the pants and jacket with a purple top hat.
2024 will also bring more villain sightings throughout the park! Disney Destinations states “throughout Magic Kingdom guests will be able to spot their favorite sinister villains and ghoulish foes - and they might even get to take a selfie with them!” The characters will only be out and about during the party event. If you are feeling the beat of the music and want to get your groove on, head over to Tomorrowland! At the Rockettower Plaza Stage there will be a DescenDANCE Party! This new dance party is inspired by a new movie coming to Disney+! The Disney Original Movie “Descendants: The Rise of Red” will premiere on July 12, 2024.
Are you ready to meet a new friend? Maybe one that has hid in the walls to go unseen for years? I’m sure you’ve guessed it by now, but Bruno will be greeting guests of the party alongside Mirabel. They can be found inside Fairytale Garden which is located to the right of the castle.
The last new “surprise” for the 2024 Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party is a great perk for the families traveling with littles. The parade will now begin an hour earlier! The party officially begins at 7 p.m., but entry to the park begins at 4 p.m. with an event ticket. Guests will only have to wait until 8:15 p.m. for the parade to kick off!
Returning for the “Disney’s Not-So-Spooky Spectacular” fireworks show is Jack Skellington as the host. Also spending some time on the stage is The Sanderson Sisters as they host the “Hocus Pocus Villain Spectacular” alongside some other favorite villains.
