May the 4th Foodie Guide

While April is here, and May is just around the corner, it means one thing! May 4th will be here before we know it and the Star Wars fans will unite in the parks for a Star Wars celebration.

While the parks always have Star Wars merchandise and some snacks. Those options are amped up for May the 4th. Both Walt Disney World and Disneyland Resorts participate in this special occasion.

Inside Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo guests can find a Mossberry Biscuit from May 4th through May31st. The menu item is created with a biscuit and topped with ube and matcha icing with a ube micro sponge cake, then sprinkles and dehydrated blueberries.

In addition to the Blue and Green Milk, the Milk Stand will also offer Polystarch Puffbread. This croissant type offering has blue and green milk craquelin (cookie-like dough), and comes with a yuzo-passion fruit and coconut dipping sauce.

Rosie’s All American Cafe will have a new dessert called Mustafarian Puff. This red colored cream puff has a custard mixed with cookies ‘n cream in the center and topped with a chocolate cookie crumb.

Three locations will be serving the fun Lightsaber Churro with a chocolate sipping sauce. The days available vary on the location, for May 4th and 5th they will be available at Anaheim Produce, Grand Avenue, and Market. At the Churro Cart they will be available beginning May 4th and continue through May 31st.

At Disney Springs, the shopping and restaurant district, there is one location that always has the sweetest and most decorative items. Amorette’s Patisserie will be offering a Stormtrooper Petit Cake. It is crafted of layers of chocolate chiffon, vanilla bean mousse, with dark chocolate ganache, and finally, cherries. Similar to the detailed items at Amorette’s Patisserie, The Ganachery is full of sweet chocolates with beautiful designs.  For the month of May there will be a Ruby chocolate and 65% dark chocolate square named The Death Star Ganache Square. The second, The Rebellion Ganache Square option is made with white chocolate and dragon fruit then covered with 65% dark chocolate.

The next exciting announcement for the May the 4th Foodie Guide is an upcoming Premium Popcorn Bucket! The Salvaged Stormtrooper Helmet Bucket will be available on May 4th. There is limited availability with a limit of two per person, per transaction.

Heading across the country to Disneyland Resorts, the offerings are different but still very exciting! Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo will offer a Shaaken Beef with Tatooine Bounty that features peppers, onions, and pieces of crispy kale. This dish begins on May 4th and will continue through August 22nd. At Kat Saka’s Kettle a Kinyenian Topato Pie will be available for purchase. This is a mix of potatoes and vegetables, along with a mint chutney.

Oga’s Cantina is a popular lunch and beverage location in the parks. There will now be a new beverage beginning May 4th. The Guava Coconut Milk with Basil Crystals is described by Disney Destinations just as the title states; guava juice, coconut milk, lime juice, pure cane syrup, and basil crystals. I’m not totally sold on this one, but I would try it! This new drink can be purchased with a Grinning Loth-cat Souvenir Mug.
