If there is a series or universe of movies and shows that I love more than any other, it is Marvel. The movies are great and the shows are awesome, Disney has done a great job with them, however when you visit Super Hero Island at Universal Studios Orlando there is a different feel to the Marvel world you are in.

Super Hero Island take a very traditional view on Marvel and is based on the comic book version of the characters. The costumes and designs are very much not the MCU that Disney has created. For the comic book fan, this is the place to experience it all. The costumes are based on the comic books, and as you walk through the Island you feel like you are in the comic books. You also get to meet some of the characters that you haven’t seen in the MCU yet. When we went last time, we got to meet Wolverine, Cyclops, and the Comic Book version of Captain America and Spider-Man. We also saw Rogue and Storm from the X-Men. They were great at interacting with adults and kids, and we even got advice for them about life and being Heroes!

There are some excellent rides in the Island with The Hulk being the main attraction. There is the Dr. Doom’s Fearfall, Storm Force Acceleration, and the Amazing Adventures of Spider-Man. This gives it more attractions than other Marvel-based theme park areas. There are also some great Dining options, Captain America’s Diner has some great food options, and for a more quick service option there is Cafe 4. Cafe 4 also has a Character dinner where you can eat with some of Marvel’s bravest heroes.
