In October 2025, thirteen of our Marvelous Mouse Travels agents traded their laptops and chilly autumn weather for sunshine, turquoise waters, and island vibes at Sandals South Coast in beautiful Jamaica! We were thrilled to attend the Rising Stars event, a celebration of partnership between Sandals Resorts and top travel agencies, including hands-on training and unforgettable experiences across several stunning Sandals properties.
Our adventure began with a smooth check-in and a chance to settle into our luxurious rooms—complete with ocean views and that signature Sandals hospitality. That evening, the elegant welcome reception in the resort ballroom brought together agents from across the U.S. It was the perfect opportunity to reconnect with our Sandals national account managers and network with fellow travel professionals over cocktails and laughter. Afterward, we sampled one of the resort’s incredible à la carte restaurants, giving us our first taste of the world-class dining Sandals is famous for.
Day two kicked off with an inspiring training session, where we learned about exciting updates and upcoming enhancements at Sandals Resorts. The highlight of the morning? Watching a donation table overflow with school supplies for local Jamaican children—a heartwarming show of generosity from everyone attending.
The afternoon was packed with exploration as we toured Sandals South Coast’s expansive property, including its overwater chapel, luxurious bungalows, serene Red Lane Spa, and beautiful banquet and event spaces—perfect for destination weddings and group getaways. That evening, we dined at another exquisite on-site restaurant, soaking in the vibrant flavors and island ambiance.
Day three whisked us away to the iconic shores of Negril! We toured both Beaches Negril (ideal for families) and Sandals Negril (a romantic paradise for couples), where we were greeted by the warmest smiles and treated to delicious tastings. The white-sand beaches and crystal-clear waters reminded us why Jamaica remains one of the most beloved destinations in the Caribbean. Back at Sandals South Coast, we enjoyed some free time to unwind, swim, and savor one more spectacular sunset dinner.
Our final day was filled with fun and interactive learning! We kicked things off with Island Routes, Sandals’ official excursions partner, followed by a digital photography workshop and a lively pickleball lesson with the resort’s pro. After lunch, we set sail on a catamaran cruise across the sparkling Caribbean Sea—an experience that perfectly captured the spirit of Jamaica.
As night fell, the resort transformed into a festive Halloween-themed celebration, complete with incredible live music, themed décor, and a surprise fire show on the beach that left us all in awe.
Our time at Sandals South Coast was a whirlwind of learning, laughter, and island magic. We returned home not only with sun-kissed smiles but with deeper insight into the exceptional service, experiences, and value that Sandals and Beaches Resorts provide.

Just days after our return, Hurricane Melissa struck Jamaica—bringing heavy damage and hardship to many of the same communities that had welcomed us with such warmth. Our hearts go out to the incredible people of Jamaica and the dedicated Sandals team members who make this island feel like home for so many travelers.
We can’t wait to return when they’re ready for us, to once again enjoy the beauty, kindness, and spirit that make Jamaica so special.
