I just returned home from an amazing trip to Moon Palace Jamaica in Ocho Rios. This family friendly, all-inclusive resort has it all. Not only does it provide a great experience for families, it is also a destination suited for adults who want to get away and explore all that Jamaica has to offer.
Moon Palace Jamaica is comprised of three separate buildings that house different room categories. There is a room category for all budgets and needs from resort view to spacious ocean view suites. The resort in itself isn’t overly large but isn’t small either. It is the perfect size for a family, couple, or friend group that wants space yet a bit of intimacy too. Plus, there is so much to do at the resort as well as local attractions too!
Are you hungry? If so, Moon Palace Jamaica has you covered! There are food choices for every taste bud. There is fine dining at La Gondola that includes some of the most delicious Italian delicacies as well as a fun hibachi experience at Momo. You can also dine casually at the buffet, Buccaneers which is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. While at the pool and beach, you will need to get some jerk chicken or pork at the Jerk Hut. Need a sweet treat (I always do), then I highly recommend stopping by Boulangerie which is open 24 hours! Plus, there is 24 hour room service you may order from the Palace app or on the TV. No matter what you want to eat, there are several dining options to experience while staying at Moon Palace Jamaica.
Moon Palace Jamaica has four pools, a splash area for kids, a water slide, the only flow rider in all of Jamaica, and two beach areas (one for laying out/swimming and one for non-motorized water sports). These areas are all stunning, fun, and great for any type of water relaxation or activity you may want to do. Kids are always occupied with water activities, and adults may enjoy relaxing at the beach or enjoying one of the two swim up bar areas. Don’t forget those drinks are included!
Kids will never be bored at Moon Palace Jamaica! Besides the fabulous water activities mentioned above, kids also have their own Playroom or Wired arcade to enjoy too. The Playroom is open from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily and offers 4 to 12 year olds fun activities all day long. Wired is an arcade and club for all ages. Want to play a game? Go to Wired!
It doesn’t matter if you want entertainment during the day or at night, you will find it at Moon Palace Jamaica. During the day, employees bring fun activities to the pool area for all ages from dance contests to trivia. At night, you will be entertained by local bands and entertainers from a Michael Jackson tribute experience to the fabulous steel drums of the Silver Birds. You can also have some adult only fun at the Piano Bar, Loud Bar, or Noir (dance club). Want fun? Moon Palace Jamaica has it!
As a bonus, there is swimming with the dolphins on site! This activity includes hugging, high-fiving, and swimming with the dolphins right in front of the resort. The fee is currently $149 per person.
Need relaxation, you may also add on spa experiences at AWE Spa! Some options include massages, facials, and manicures. When you book any spa experience, you also receive the bonus of hydrotherapy. I highly recommend doing this as it is a unique experience that regenerates your entire mind and body.
Don’t forget the local excursions you may add on too. I suggest heading to Mystic Mountain for some fun Jamaica bobsledding, zip lining, obstacle courses, and more!
