MagicBand+ is coming to Disneyland this fall! This wearable technology will be gracing the West Coast for the first time. This hands free innovation brings convenience and Disney storytelling to guest’s park experience. This technology was introduced to Walt Disney World this summer allowing guests to see and feel the parks in a new dimension. Some of the smart features include color-changing LED lights, haptic vibrations and gesture recognition. The bands are available in a range and colors allowing you to show off personal style while in the parks.
MagicBand+ is also rechargeable and comes with a charging cable, and it is waterproof. Another amazing feature is when MagicBand+ is paired to a smartphone device through the Disneyland app*, it unlocks personalization options such as selecting unique light colors and adjusting the vibration and motion recognition settings. MagicBand+ experiences will vary between the parks as well.

Guests can connect their MagicBand+ to their theme park ticket or Magic Key pass in the Disneyland app for an easy way to enter the Disneyland Resort theme parks. It can also be used to check in at lightening lane entrances and can be used to check PhotoPass memories captured by Disney photographers. The band has the capabilities to be in sync with special moments during the nighttime spectaculars, and complement the magic in the skies by pulsing with colorful, dancing lights and vibrations. During “World of Color” in Disney’s California Adventure and “Fantasmic!” in Disneyland park the band will come to life.
When in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge in Disneyland park guests can take park in the Star Wars: Batuu Bounty Hunters interactive quest! The technology during this is like no other! The band will vibrate and light up to guide guests to find virtual bounties throughout Black Spire Outpost. Guests can then use thermal augmented reality to reveal what is hiding in the shadows. At the end of the mission, guests will be rewarded with galactic credits by the local guild master Raga Bua. This is just the start of the options that will be offered with MagicBand+. Guests will still need to have valid park admission as well as park reservations for the day they plan to attend the theme park.
