Lunar New Year will be January 20 through February 15, 2023. The Disney California Food & Wine Festival will take place March 3- April 25, 2023. These are events you won’t want to miss.
May health, luck and prosperity be yours! Join Disney California Adventure park as they usher in the Lunar New Year! This will includes joyous tributes to Chinese, Korean and Vietnamese cultures. This is a multicultural celebration that will be filled with wishes for the new year. 2023 is the Year of the Rabbit in the Chinese Zodiac Calendar. Traditions, holidays, foods, and more are greatly influenced by the zodiac calendar. The Rabbit is unique in the way it waits for the most opportune moment to leap into action. The rabbit symbolizes luck more than any other zodiac animal. The Vietnamese zodiac calendar marks the Year of the Cat. Both Chinese and Vietnamese zodiacs will be recognized!

Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse will be celebrating in their festive attire, plus Mulan and Mushu from “Mulan.” “Mulan’s Lunar New Year Procession,” will be a vibrant performance hosted by Mulan and Mushu and will feature dozens of performers honoring family, friendship, and a fortune filled new year.
There will be special food offerings including Bamboo Blessings, Wrapped with Love, Lucky 8 Lantern, Prosperity Bao & Buns, Red Spice Traders, and Longevity Noodle Co. The Sip and Savor pass will return. You may choose to taste your way through six mouthwatering food & non-alcoholic beverage selections from participating marketplaces and dining locations.

Make sure to catch “Hurry Home – Lunar New Year Celebration” prior to “World of Color.” A water show that tells the tale of a little lantern’s quest to reunite with family for the annual celebration of good luck and fortune. Enjoy Lunar New Year celebrations including crafts, Chinese calligraphy demonstrations and the Lucky Wishes Wall, where you can share your hopes for the year ahead.
