Let’s talk about CHARACTER PALOOZA!
You’re going to need to put down your park map and guide for this unpublished, special character interaction! Character Palooza, an unofficial character meet and greet, will never be advertised within a park map or guide. It has slowly become popular among guests that visit Disney’s Hollywood Studios, yet still, so many have never heard of it! Cast Members within Disney’s Hollywood Studios will graciously try to make light of the experience. This usually helps keep the experience more personal with a lower attendance. Let’s learn about Disney’s mysterious secret in hopes to give you some luck on stumbling upon this unique experience for yourself!
Character Palooza usually occurs on any given day that Fantasmic, Disney’s Hollywood Studios’ nighttime spectacular, is offered to guests. In an effort to ensure the surprise of this experience for visitors, Character Palooza has many different locations to randomly walk through the gates at! Not only can characters show up near the gates of Tower of Terror, but also in Streets of America, Echo Lake, and more commonly now, right outside the park entrance! Keep in mind, they will only show up at one place at a time!
You can participate in this spontaneous event any time between 4-7pm, weather permitting. At times, they may only have one showing of Character Palooza. Other days, you may encounter several showings in one day! Typically, you can meet with 5-10 characters for approximately 20 mins total. If rain is on the forecast, Character Palooza will not be enjoyed for the day.
Let’s get to the question everyone is wondering by now… “Who can we meet?” With no guarantee on whom you may meet with, random characters from the finale of Fantasmic will swarm the area waiting to sign autographs and take pictures! Here are some that you may see:

Disney’s Photopass Photographers will not be available for this event. However, there will be cast members that accompany the characters whom will be happy to take photos for you and your family! Your time is very limited, as well as others around you! Be sure to have your camera, autograph book and pen ready!
Strollers are not permitted in the area, be sure to find the nearest stroller parking beforehand!
