The Disney Dream has so many great lounges to enjoy while you are sailing. Whether you are looking for a quiet place to sip your coffee, dance the night away or find the perfect night cap, the lounges on the Disney Dream have got you covered.
When you first walk on the ship and get introduced (who doesn’t love that?) the first bar you will see will most likely be Bon Voyage. Located in the grand atrium, it’s the perfect spot to grab that tropical cocktail and make a toast to your upcoming adventure.
Start your day off at the Cove Café. This adult only area is the perfect place to grab a very special cup of coffee and a sweet treat before heading out on your adventures for the day. Cove Café is open in the evenings as well, then you can sip on a specialty cocktail or even participate in a beverage tasting for an additional fee.
The Vista Café is an art deco inspired area that is another perfect spot to grab a morning coffee and pastry or an after dinner cocktail and sit by the large windows watching the sea roll by.
We spent late morning in D Lounge and had a fantastic time. We played the Inside Out game and the girls from Marvelous Mouse Travels were the big winners. The host here was so entertaining and funny. We even had a surprise visit from Joy when the game was over.
Currents is located up on deck 13. This is an open-air bar where you will want to grab that staple vacation drink like a pina colada or strawberry daquiri and just enjoy the warm ocean breeze and do nothing more than enjoy the fact you are on a Disney cruise.
After dinner and dropping your kids off at the fantastic kids clubs you can head on over to The District for some adult only fun. Listen to live music, take in a comedy show and dance the night away.
Don’t worry about missing the big game while you are on vacation. Stop in and grab a stool Pub 687 to have a beer and watch your favorite sports team. Fun fact, 687 was the designated project number assigned to the Disney Dream by the German shipyard. This friendly hangout of course has a lager named 687 as well. The pub is beautifully decorated with photos of the ship being put together at the assembled at the shipyard.
Situated on the back of the ship, Meridian is a sophisticated lounge with the perfect location right between Palo and Remy. Sit inside or outside and sip on such favorites, before or after dinner, as Champenoise and the Berrytini. This lounge does have a dress code of cruise casual.
Are you ready to sing and dance the night away? It’s time to go to Evolution! This lively lounge will have music for everyone to enjoy. Have you always wanted to try karaoke? This would be the perfect time! Grab the mic and belt out your favorite tune. Nobody on the ship knows who you are anyway! The cocktails here are well crafted and unique. The 2 most popular options are Papillon – includes VeeV Açai liquer, Grand Marnier cognac, agave nectar, ginger and freshly-squeezed lime juice. Mariposa – with No 3 London dry gin, Martini Rosso authentic botanical- infused sweet vermouth, strawberry puree, passion-fruit juice and fresh muddled basil leaves.
Are you looking for something a bit smaller and quiet? Try Skyline. At Skyline you can view your favorite city’s skyline on the seven 65-inch LCD televisions that show you the skyline of New York, Chicago, Paris and more. Watch your favorite city change from day to night while enjoying wonderful cocktails like the Paris 76, a Londonium or an El Conquistador.
Finish up the evening with a glass of champagne at Pink. This sophisticated yet fun and dare I say bubbly, champagne bar is another adult only escape with wonderful cocktails and yummy macarons for you to nibble on.
Be sure to check out these great lounges on your next sailing. While you are there, take the time and talk with the cast members on board. They are simply the best! Ask them for suggestions or see if they have a special drink they make. They will make your experience on the ship even more magical!
