Super Nintendo World is opening in jus a few days as part of the brand-new Epic Universe theme park at Universal Orlando, and you’re going to want this on your travel radar.
Here’s everything you need to know about this colorful, chaotic, and completely "super" land. From the rides to the eats, the merch to the must-snap photo spots, here's the inside scoop!
This is the headliner. A high-tech, augmented-reality ride where you race against Team Bowser in a moving kart. It’s wild, interactive, and incredibly immersive; you wear a visor that overlays graphics in real-time, so it feels like you’re in the game.
Pro tip: Use the interactive Power-Up Band (more on that later) to track your coins and stats!
Slower-paced and super kid-friendly. You ride on Yoshi’s back, searching for glowing eggs and enjoying sweet views of the Mushroom Kingdom. Perfect for younger kiddos or anyone who just wants a chill ride.
This coaster is new and exclusive to Epic Universe. It makes it look like your cart is jumping broken tracks just like in the classic games. It’s fast, fun, and absolutely bananas.
Food is half the fun at Epic Universe, and Super Nintendo World totally delivers. Expect playful, themed bites that are as fun to look at as they are to eat.
Toadstool Cafe: The main sit-down spot. It’s hosted by Chef Toad (adorable) and serves things like Super Mushroom Soup, Mario Burgers, and Princess Peach cupcakes. Don't miss the Toadstool Cheesy Garlic Knots, a definite crowd-pleaser.
Turbo Boost Treats: Quick bites like ? Souvenir popcorn buckets and drinks.
Yoshi’s Snack Island: A smaller cart with tropical treats—perfect for a mid-day boost.
Pro tip: These places get busy! Mobile ordering can be a lifesaver, especially if you're visiting during peak season.
If you’ve got a Nintendo fan at home, the merch here is next level.
Power-Up Bands – These are a must. They let you collect coins, unlock mini-games, and even interact with characters and blocks around the land. The Donkey Kong bands are exclusive to Epic Universe!
Mario & Friends Apparel – From retro tees to full cosplay-style hoodies.
Character Plushes & Toys – They’re everywhere, and yes, they’re super huggable.
Pro tip: Power-Up Bands can be used in Super Nintendo World at Universal Studios Hollywood, too!

Use the App - Universal’s app is your best friend for mobile orders, ride wait times, and keeping track of points earned with your Power-Up band.
Grab a Power-Up Band the Night Before - Stop by the store in your onsite hotel or at CityWalk the night before your visit to purcahse a Power-Up Band so you can start collecting coins and unlocking secret blocks right away.
Consider Express Pass (if available) - Not all rides offer it, but for Mario Kart? Totally worth it.
Plan for Downtime – With so much to do, kids (and grown-ups!) can hit a wall. Schedule breaks, snacks, and slower rides like Yoshi’s Adventure to recharge.
Stay On-Site at a Universal Resort Hotel – Guests staying at select Universal hotels get into Super Nintendo World an hour early. Plus, you're just a short shuttle away (or you may even be able to walk) from the action.
