One of the questions I get asked all the time is: which do I like better — Le Blanc Spa Resort Cancun or Le Blanc Spa Resort Los Cabos? Honestly, it’s a really difficult choice because both resorts are absolutely fabulous. It really comes down to the type of vacation and vibe you’re looking for.
If you are a beach person, Le Blanc Cancun is probably going to be the better fit for you. Located in Cancun’s famous Hotel Zone, the resort sits on a gorgeous stretch of white sand beach with those crystal-clear turquoise waters Cancun is known for. Most of the year, the water is absolutely stunning.
Another huge advantage of Cancun is convenience. The resort is only about 15 minutes from the airport, and Cancun is one of the biggest flight hubs in Mexico, meaning many travelers can get direct flights with shorter travel times. It’s perfect for a quick luxury getaway because you can truly start your vacation almost immediately after landing.
Of course, Le Blanc Cancun also has the signature incredible food and service the brand is known for. Between the Italian restaurant, Asian cuisine, French dining, and the American steakhouse, the food is consistently phenomenal. I also find the overall vibe around the pools in Cancun to be a little more peaceful and relaxing.
That being said, one of the biggest downsides for me personally is the lack of balconies. Only the very top suite categories, including the Presidential Suite, offer balconies. I absolutely love sitting outside in the morning with coffee or enjoying a late-night drink on the balcony, so that’s definitely something I miss at Le Blanc Cancun.
Now let’s talk about Cabo.
Le Blanc Los Cabos has a completely different energy. During the day, the resort tends to feel a little more lively, often with DJs and a more upbeat atmosphere around the pool. One of my absolute favorite things about Le Blanc Los Cabos is the abundance of outdoor dining. Coming from a colder climate, I love being able to sit outside for meals while overlooking the ocean.
The food in Cabo is also outstanding, and one of the most unique dining experiences is Habibi, their Lebanese restaurant. It’s such a fun addition and something you don’t typically find at all-inclusive resorts.
The ocean views in Cabo are breathtaking, but it’s important to know that the beaches there are generally not swimmable because of strong rip currents. If swimming in the ocean is a major priority for your vacation, Cabo may not be the best choice.
That said, I absolutely love the vibe of Cabo. Taking a catamaran out to the famous arches is such a fun experience, and whale watching season there is incredible. It does take a little longer to get to compared to Cancun — about a 30-minute transfer from the airport — and direct flights can sometimes be a little harder to find depending on where you live.
At the end of the day, you truly cannot go wrong with either resort. Both offer incredible food, amazing service, beautiful pools, and luxurious accommodations. It really comes down to what matters most to you — beach and convenience, or vibe and outdoor experiences.
f I’m being completely honest though, Le Blanc Spa Resort Los Cabos holds a very special place in my heart. I absolutely fell in love with the Cabo vibe. I love that every room has a balcony, I love the beautiful ocean views, the fun pool atmosphere, and the incredible food. It remains one of my favorite resorts anywhere.
