What’s this? What’s this? (I hope you sang that in your best Jack Skellington voice), but we have news on the update at The Haunted Mansion area at Disneyland Resort. Currently the attraction is in its holiday layover phase of the year with The Nightmare Before Christmas theme, and in just a few weeks it will go back to normal. The holiday layover is a huge hit with the guests, and the gingerbread house inside makes it even better! Let’s see what new enhancements have come to the park around the attraction.

The Haunted Mansion is located inside New Orleans Square at Disneyland Park. A few months ago, Disneyland announced that there would be an expansion to the grounds of The Haunted Mansion area. The first area of mention is Magnolia Park, which is situated to the left of the attraction entrance. The park features benches and some shade which is the perfect place for a few minutes of relaxation.
The next area is the brand new addition to the attraction queue. The expansion of the queue has added more space for guests to enter the attraction. A fountain, originally in Magnolia Park, has been added for guests to enjoy. There have also been a pair of raven statues, which represent where the spirit world and the living world come together. Another new statue has been added, so keep an eye out for this fun addition.
Continuing on through the new addition, a garden designed by Master Gracey comes into view. The main two features here are the fountain built into the wall and the gazebo. The fountain is designed as a sea maiden that has been caught in a storm. The gazebo holds a few items left behind; a smoking pipe, a book, and an astrological armillisphere, all on top of a bench. Another garden has been added, this time for Madame Leota. Statues of familiar objects like a monkey playing cymbals, lizards, rats, and even a few frogs make an appearance. Also in this area is an oak tree that features bells and chimes.

All of these new and improved features have opened and officially welcomed the foolish mortals who dare to enter.
But wait, there's more! Madame Leota’s Somewhere Beyond will open this Winter! This carriage house will be located right by the exit of the attraction, and will be home to the new merchandise location. The area features the furniture of Madame Leota, including the original parlor chandelier, crystal ball, and couch! Not only will the Madame Leotoas home house her belongings, but there will also be The Haunted Mansion and The Nightmare Before Christmas Merchandise available for purchase!
This stunning new addition seems to be a sight to behold and Marvelous Mouse Travels can help take the stress out of your planning for a magical Disneyland vacation. Reach out today to escape making a foolish mortal decision.
