A great kids club is a must for traveling families. Moon Palace and The Grand at Moon Palace is known for their impeccable service, incredible accommodations, and spectacular food. But for many parents, including myself, one of the more important questions is “how are the kids clubs”? I’m here to provide the insider information…..the know how….the recommendations…..from one parent to another.
Let’s start with the star of the show, the WATERPARK!! The waterpark includes an area for all ages, even adults who are kids at heart. The waterpark is fenced off and entering/exiting the park is through one main area. The waterpark includes everything from a splash pad, lazy river, a surf simulator, and thrill slides.
The kids club at The Grand is centrally located inside the waterpark. Once inside the building, there are two areas. The upstairs area is for ages 4 to 7. It is a supervised area perfect for the youngsters. The downstairs area is for ages 8 to 12 and is unsupervised. However, ages 4 to 7 are allowed in with the supervision of an adult. This was the funnest part of the whole place. Bumper cars and all the arcade action you could want!!
Due to the ages of the kids in our travel group (and us adults wanting to have a night out with no worries), we opted for The Playroom at the Moon Palace. The Playroom is supervised from ages 4 all the way to age 12. They have activities throughout the day and night. Some examples of the activities my kids participated in were tie dying, feeding an iguana, and watching a movie in a room that looks just like a movie theater! The playroom will provide lunch and dinner. Lunch needs to be booked before 10am and dinner needs to be booked by 5pm. I was impressed with The Playroom and my kids begged to go back there. Win!!
One thing to note about the Moon Palace and The Grand is the exchange privileges. We were able to go to the Moon Palace because we were staying at The Grand. However, patrons of The Moon Palace must purchase a day pass in order to visit The Grand.
