If you enjoy working out, staying up to date with your fitness routine, or even if you’ve never worked out a day in your life and want to spend some energy this is the cruise for you. Virgin Voyages is one of the newest cruise lines and one of their key components is their wellness regiments.
Virgin Voyages Fitness Classes
One of the things that make Virgin Voyages so unique is the type of classes and amount of classes that they offer. The 6 classes are:
- VHS 80s workout: this actually stands for Videos-Headbands-Simmons where you get to partake in some aerobics to 80s music, in your bright neon tank tops and short shorts.
- Rollout and Recover: this class is a very relaxing 30 minutes where you use foam rollers to smooth out all those aches and pains.

- Spin out: This was my FAVORITE!! I am a huge fan of spin classes at home and If you have done a spin class at your home gym, it’s like that but at sea with a nice window looking outside to the ocean! Be prepared to visit the spa after this class though because your legs are going to need a nice massage!
- Growth and Guided Meditation: This always happened early in the morning so if you are an early riser this is for you! You get to grab a yoga mat and follow along for some nice meditation.
- On the Upswing Bungee Class: This is where you get to strap into some bungee cords and follow along with instructor doing jumps, lunges, dances all strapped in. This was a very exclusive class so if it’s one you want to do sign up fast! It only allows for 7 guests per class!

- HIIT (Don’t quit): This class stands for High Intensity Interval Training. Where if you are really wanting to get a sweat on, this is the class to attend. It’s indoors and outdoors and you go through a serious of exercises with an instructor mainly with boxing moves incorporated.
The B Complex
If classes aren’t your style and/or you like to do things on your own, Virgin Voyages has its own gym on board. It’s divided into 2 different sections and each section has its own lockers, towels, and even a water bottle fill up station.
- Bike and Burn: In this gym you are going to find a huge line of treadmills looking out at the ocean. While you are walking or running you can look out to the ocean. You can also choose to follow along with a session, watch tv, or even pull up YouTube on the treadmill screens. This is also where you are going to find your stationary bikes and where the spin classes held.

- Build and Balance: In the second gym is where you are going to find the room where some of the classes are help such as meditation, bungee, and roll out and recover. This room is where you will find your strength building machines, exercise balls, and weights.

The Athletic Club
Think "adult playground"! This was an amazing place to hang out, work out, relax, and play!

- Basketball court
- Giant Chess Board
- Floating Net above the water
- Boxing Ring
- See saws for Adults
- 250m track
- and more!!
I am not one to want to work out (like at all). This cruise has me wanting to get up and move...if anything, for all the food that was offered and that was eaten, but that’s a whole other topic we could get into. Wink wink.
