The Jurassic Park Discovery Center interactive play and educational center located in Universal’s Island of Adventure is perfect for kids! The center is a replica of the discovery center as seen in the blockbuster movie series.
It is part of the Jurassic Park area in Islands of Adventure which also includes attractions such as Jurassic Park River Adventure, Camp Jurassic, Pteranodon Flyers, Raptor Encounter, and the new VelociCoaster.
The Jurassic Park Discovery Center has shopping, dining, a play area, a giant dinosaur skeleton, and several interactive areas. Geneticists are available throughout the day for some educational fun. You can also examine DNA, scan dinosaur eggs, and even witness a live birth of a Velociraptor! The live hatching is sounded with alarms and termed an IHE (Imminent Hatching Event). This happens about once an hour and is so much fun to participate in! If you are lucky, you can even name the new Velociraptor!! They will give you a birth certificate that you can bring back on your next visit to Universal and check up on the hatchling! How fun!!
