The newest property addition at Walt Disney World officially opens and welcomes guests tomorrow, December 17, 2024! Disney’s Polynesian Villas & Bungalows now has the Island Tower which is the new home for Disney Vacation Club, but also allows other guests at Walt Disney World to book one and two bedroom villas which are perfect for larger families visiting and wanting to stay together. Let’s see what the new property has to offer!
On top of the one- and two- bedroom villas, there will also be a two-bedroom penthouse villas! The one- and two- bedroom villas can sleep between five and nine guests. Each villa features a living area, full kitchen, plus a washer and dryer. The new accommodation type introduced is the two-bedroom penthouse villa. This category can sleep up to eight guests and includes the same amenities as the standard villas but with a view of the Seven Seas Lagoon and Disney’s Magic Kingdom or views of the golf courses, Disney’s Magnolia and Disney’s Oak Trail.

The tower will also feature four spaces for registered guests to experience relaxation in the gorgeously designed hideaways that have chairs and loungers. This sounds like the perfect place for a mid-day break or an area to check on some emails. Two of the Terrace Gardens will have views of Disney’s Magic Kingdom, which also means you will be able to see the fireworks at night!
Guests at the Island Tower also have a brand new Cove Pool area! Here guests will find a zero entry swimming pool plus the fun “Moana’s Voyage” splash pad geared towards young travelers.
As for dining, Wailulu Bar & Grill is the casual dining spot located inside the tower that features Polynesian flavors and inspired dishes. The restaurant also overlooks the Seven Seas Lagoon which means it is also the perfect location to grab a bite to eat and watch the fireworks at Disney's Magic Kingdom.
With all of the magic that comes with the opening of the new Island Tower at Disney’s Polynesian Villas & Bungalows, even more magic is brought to the tower with cast members that have been at the resort since it opened in the 1970s!
