From the minute we pulled up to Iberostar Selection Hacienda Dominicus we were so impressed. The lobby is bright, open and so inviting. We were greeted by a friendly staff and chilled watermelon juice.
The sprawling grounds at this resort are immaculate. I never saw a leaf out of place. We saw turtles, flamingos and peacocks wandering about the different areas. Everywhere you look it just gets prettier and prettier.
This is a fantastic resort for families. There are all kinds of activities for all ages and you can also find a nice quiet place to be alone.
For kids ages 4-17 the resort offers Star Camp. This area was amazing from their Mini Chef Challenges kitchen to the indoor trampoline park to the theater and play areas. There is truly something for everyone.
We spent some time in the zero-entry pool and at the swim up bar. The pool is on the deeper side, which I love! There were plenty of chairs for everyone, which is so nice. We also joined in on some poolside BINGO but were not the big winners.
The beach is beautiful with plenty of seating in the sun and the shade. Iberostar Selection Hacienda Dominicus is located on the Caribbean side of the island so you will have beautiful turquoise waters and soft powdery sand.
The lighthouse on the beach is such a nice touch. It’s a great place to grab a mojito or margarita and just enjoy the gorgeous view.
Dinner was amazing, we ate at La Geisha. This hibachi style dinner was so fun. Everything from the sushi to sake and everything in between was delicious.
If you do not like Japanese food, no worries, this resort has 6 restaurants to choose from.
Our room was bright and spacious. The balcony was so large and it was wonderful to sit out there at night with a beverage and just relax!
This resort is booked at 90%-95% capacity all year long, which means one thing, they are doing things right! This is a very popular resort and people keep coming back year after year and I can see why.
