Universal Parks & Resorts have dropped not one, but two huge announcements! This news brings a new park and a new attraction, but not at the current locations of Universal Orlando or Universal Hollywood. “Then where?” you may be asking yourself.
Universal Orlando just opened their very first escape room, Universal’s Great Movie Escape, which opened in early December 2022, and recently announced the newest attraction coming to Universal Studios Florida, Illumination’s Villain-Con Minion Blast set to be opening Summer 2023, which is really soon! All while Universal Hollywood is preparing for the Grand Opening of SUPER NINTENDO WORLD, which is slated for mid-February. So many new attractions! But now for the big news! Universal is giving Texas a new theme park! It has been announced that the new park will be located in Frisco, Texas, about 26 miles North of Dallas. Universal commented on their official Facebook pages that “the new park concept, set in a lush green landscape, and featuring immersive themed lands, celebrates Universal’s iconic brand of entertainment, humor and innovation and brings to life its beloved characters and stories in the ways that will wow even the youngest theme park goers.” It is also stated that their newest park will be geared towards their younger fans. After closing a few attractions, mostly geared towards the younger generations at Universal Orlando, I think this will be an amazing family friendly park, with fun for all ages. The concept art features bright colors and a beautiful green landscape. I cannot wait to see what this park looks like in the future. Just hours after Universal Parks & Resorts announced the newest theme park addition, they also dropped news of a new attraction to be located in Las Vegas, Nevada! It has been described almost as a Universal’s Halloween Horror Night attraction, but year round! Universal’s Halloween Horror Nights run on select dates in September and October in both Universal Orlando and Universal Hollywood, but soon you will not have to wait until those months for a fright, you will be able to visit Las Vegas at any time.
