Now that nighttime shows are back, Disney’s California Adventure is utilizing a virtual queue system

World of Color is a 22-minute nighttime spectacular show that utilizes water, lights and sound. It features Disney and Pixar celebrated films such as Little Mermaid, Pirates of the Caribbean, Toy Story, Wall-E, Aladdin, and UP.
This beloved show can draw a large audience so I will share some ways you can avoid waiting in massive crowds and get a better view of World of Color! Virtual queue is now available for showings at 9 PM and 10:25 PM.
Here is how it works. Open your Disneyland app and search for “World of Color.” This will pull up showtimes and a button to join the Virtual Queue. You will need to be in either Disneyland or California Adventure parks by 12 PM to access the virtual queue for that evening’s show.
Once you have your reservation, you will receive a notification in the Disneyland app instructing you to enter the “World of Color” viewing area through either the Blue or Yellow entrance approximately 45 minutes prior to showtime. This is a popular option and will fill up quickly. Other viewing areas will still be open for the show, so you will still be able to watch even if you don’t get a spot in the Virtual Queue.
You could also consider making a Dessert Party reservation with reserved seating at tables in Paradise Gardens. Reservations can be made 60 days out, or limited walk-up spots may be available. Included with your reservations is a selection of desserts and cheeses, 2 alcoholic beverages for adults 21 and older, unlimited soft drinks and bottled water.
You can also walk up and get a spot before the show on the Pixar Pier Bridge or the wall in front of The Little Mermaid Adventure ride.
