If you love good food, themed restaurants, and not having to pull out your wallet every time someone wants a Mickey shaped snack , the Disney Dining Plan might be your new best friend.

It’s Disney’s top tier dining plan, which gives you plenty of flexibility to eat your way around Walt Disney World without worrying about budgeting every meal.
Here’s what’s included per person, per night:
- 1 Quick-Service meal (entrée + beverage, 21+ including alcohol)
- 1 Table-Service meal (entrée, dessert, and beverage, 21+ including alcohol )
- 1 snack or nonalcoholic beverage
- 1 refillable resort mug (for use at any Disney resort beverage station)
On average, the Disney Dining Plan runs about $98 per adult per night and $30 per child (ages 3–9).
So, how do you make sure you’re getting your money’s worth? Let’s talk about strategy.
Snack Credits: Skip the Popcorn, Go for the Pretzel
Each Disney Dining Plan day includes one snack credit and these can go fast if you’re not careful. While it’s tempting to grab bottled water or a $2 popcorn refill, that’s not where the value is hiding.

Best ways to use a snack credit:
- Mickey Pretzel with Cheese – About $7.50, and big enough to share.
- Dole Whip Float (Aloha Isle, Magic Kingdom) Around $7.00, and a classic for a reason.
- My favorite, Festival Booths at EPCOT. Many small plates qualify as a snack and can cost $8–$10 each.
- Cold Brew Black Caf (Galaxy’s Edge) – A Star Wars fan favorite for about $6.79.
Pro tip: Skip the bottled drinks and think “mini meal,” not filler food.
Quick-Service Meals: When Convenience Meets Value
Even though the Disney Dining Plan really shines with sit down meals, don’t sleep on the value of quick-service restaurants, especially on busy park days when you’re on the go.
Each quick service meal includes:
- One entrée
- One nonalcoholic or alcoholic beverage

Favorite picks:
- Satu’li Canteen (Animal Kingdom) – Custom protein bowls ($15–$18) plus a glass of wine or beer ($9–$13).
- Docking Bay 7 (Hollywood Studios) – Themed dishes that easily hit $18–$20 in value.
- Regal Eagle Smokehouse (EPCOT) – BBQ platters and craft beers around $20 total.
Pro tip: Always order the higher value entrée and an adult beverage (if you want it). One quick-service credit can easily be worth $25–$30 when used right.
Table-Service Dining: Where the Disney Dining Plan Earns Its Name
This is where the Disney Dining Plan really shines. Whether a character breakfast, a signature steakhouse dinner, or a hidden gem at a Disney resort.
Each table-service meal includes:
- One entrée
- One dessert
- One alcoholic or specialty beverage that isn’t value-caped

Top Ways to Get the Most Value
- Character Dining: Topolino’s Terrace (Breakfast), Chef Mickey’s, and Akershus Royal Banquet Hall, these usually run $55–$75 per adult, but include the magic of character interactions (and no standing in line for autographs!).
- Signature Dining: Yak and Yeti, Via Napoli Ristorante e Pizzeria, Sci Fi Dine in, and Jungle Navigation Co. LTD Skipper Canteen
- Or splurge at Topolino’s Terrace (Dinner), Le Cellier Steakhouse, The Boathouse, California Grill, and Tiffins these count as two table-service credits, but entrees often reach $80–$90+, making them some of the best redemptions on the plan.
- Dinner Shows: Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort is another excellent two-credit experience. It’s a full-on dinner show with fried chicken, BBQ ribs, strawberry shortcake, and unlimited beer, wine, and sangria all included.
- Unique Themed Spots: Be Our Guest and Story Book Dining at Artist Point offer immersive theming and character moments that feel “only-at-Disney.”.
Book Soon: Kids Eat Free in 2026
Here’s where the real savings kick in for arrivals in 2026, kids ages 3–9 eat free when you book a qualifying package that includes your resort stay, park tickets, and a dining plan for adults.
That means your little ones can join you for all the character meals, Mickey waffles, and desserts they can handle without paying a dime for their plan.
Heads up: This is one of the best promos Disney offers, and resort availability goes quickly (especially at guest favorites like Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort and the Grand Floridian). Don’t wait to lock it in.
Extra Tips for Making the Most of It

- Track your credits in the My Disney Experience app so nothing goes to waste.
- Use leftover snack credits for packaged treats before you head home. Just looks for the DD Disney Dining Symbol.
- Mix it up — You don’t have to use all the credits eat day, you can use two credits for a signature dinner one day, then all quick-service the next.
- Book late breakfasts (10:30 a.m.) and treat them as brunch to stretch your schedule.
- Try resort restaurants like Steakhouse 71, ’Ohana, and Boma — they’re some of the best values on the plan.
The Disney Dining Plan turns your trip into a full-on food experience , perfect for guests who want to enjoy Disney without constantly thinking about the bill.
When you combine it with the 2026 Kids Eat Free offer, it’s hands-down one of the best ways for families to add convenience and real savings to their trip. Reach out to Kate or Marvelous Mouse Travels to include the Disney Dining Plan in your next Disney World vacation package.
