You have made the awesomely epic decision to visit Universal Orlando Resort?! You've decided on when you want to visit, how many days you want to visit, but there is still the lingering decision of where to stay? Should you stay onsite or offsite? The answer to that question is always onsite and here is why...
The golden question after you have begun planning is which hotel should you choose and why? Well, there are a few things to consider when making that decision. We would first suggest making a list of things that are important to you and that will make your stay as enjoyable and comfortable as possible. For the purposes of this blog, let's assume that price is traditionally a factor in deciding on which hotel to stay at. Universal has a 4 tier structure when it comes to their hotels (premier, preferred, prime value and value), which goes in order of price from highest price to lowest price. Another important factor in your decision making might be the want of "express passes", which are included with the 3 premier hotels but not the other 5 hotels onsite. Maybe the extracurriculars available at your hotel are important because you have factored in rest days to your vacation. For example, Cabana Bay Hotel has a lot to offer for that aspect as they have a pretty cool bowling alley in the actual hotel, an arcade and a lazy river. Another deciding factor could be distance to the resort.

If you are a fan of getting your steps in, maybe a hotel father away such as Endless Summer Dockside or Surfside Inn and Suites is your jam or maybe you want something as close as possible because you have factored in breaks throughout the day and prefer to walk and not wait on transportation which would be Hard Rock Hotel and you can't get any closer than that 5 minute walk.
Or maybe you have a larger family and need a bigger space than the traditional 2 queen bed standard rooms. Every Universal hotel offers lodging for large groups or families, however, the layout, cost and amenities are different for each. For example, Sapphire falls suites come with a Peloton bike in the room!
As you can see, there is a ton of information to gather when deciding on which hotel to book when visiting Universal Orlando. Therefore, below you will see a chart that has been provided for you to help make your decision making a little easier.
