One of the most magical times to visit Universal Orlando Resort is for the holiday season! The parks, the resort, and even Universal CityWalk create the atmosphere from the time that you step foot on property. Are you ready to experience the magic first hand? Let’s see what is in store for you if you already have plans for the 2024 holiday season!

Starting off at the resorts, each one is decorated with the theme of the resort, all of which are gorgeous. Some of the resorts also offer special menus for Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, and even New Year’s Eve. During Hanukkah, there is a Menorah lighting ceremony. At Loews Portofino Bay Hotel, guests can catch the holiday carolers strolling through singing beautiful songs. Most resorts also have a fire pit that is lit each night for guests to enjoy and marshmallow kits can be purchased for s’mores. You cannot go wrong with what hotel you decide to stay at, but holiday events do vary by location and are always subject to change without notice.
Inside the parks is not lacking the holiday spirit, and even inside the themed areas like The Wizarding World of Harry Potter. The store fronts decorate for the holidays, and the castle projects the holiday version of its nightly show, The Magic of Christmas at Hogwarts Castle. Other entertainment like Celestina Warbeck and the Banshees perform and add holiday hits to their playlist as well as The Frog Choir.
The next experience is once for the books! The nightly Universal’s Holiday Parade featuring Macy’s is like the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade but in a different and generally warmer state. Balloons created like "Despicable Me”, “Shrek”, and even a Macy’s star make appearances during the parade. Santa comes through in his sleigh and lights the Christmas tree towards the end of the parade.

Seuss Landing goes all out for the holidays inside Universal’s Island of Adventure. Circus McGurkus Cafe Stoo-pendus hosts The Grinch & Friends Character Breakfast on select days, and The Grinch hosts The Grinchmas Who-liday Spectacular each day.
All of the holiday fun is included in your admission ticket! There is a Universal Holiday Tour that costs extra, but it can allow guests to experience more magic than ever before in such a short amount of time. Skip the line to meet The Grinch and Max, enjoy reserved seating for the The Grinchmas Who-liday Spectacular, meet and greet with Santa, and so much more is included with this special tour.
