What are your plans for this holiday season? Do you plan to visit Southern California by chance? If not, maybe there are a few days to spare that you could plan a quick trip! Universal Hollywood CityWalk is the perfect pit stop for a day or even just a few hours if you have it. There are so many amazing holiday experiences during this time of the year. Even though the area has palm trees, they are decorated with lights which makes it feel like the holidays. The food, entertainment, and merchandise options seem to be endless, are you ready to explore what there is to offer?
Inside Universal Hollywood CityWalk, the area is decked out with more lights than ever! Not only does the Universal Cinema brighten up the area each now, during the holiday season there is a 40-foot tree that contains over 200,00 LED lights which is a sight! Looking up while walking around is also a sight, though you may want to stop for a second to take it all in. One sign that is absolutely stunning in a silly way is the King Kong that hangs above IT’SUGAR. ‘Tis the season to sport a Santa Hat and have a hold of mistletoe. It’s the perfect silly place to stop with a special someone to share a quick kiss.
Continuing past King Kong, you will come across the dancing water fountain. This is such a mesmerizing area, and it will feature red and green illuminations during this time of the year.

So many dining locations will offer a limited time menu with seasonal options. One location that always has fun desserts is The Toothsome Chocolate Emporium & Savory Feast Kitchen. This year they have added a Wintermint Spice Shake which is crafted with vanilla ice cream and a mix of peppermint and winter mint syrups. Inside the shake you will also find notes of raspberry and white chocolate that is then topped with whipped cream and crushed peppermint candy pieces.
The one location I can always count on having a grab and go treat, plus grab a few for tomorrow, is Voodoo Doughnut. This year they have six limited offerings which are: Grandma’s Hot Cocoa, a Snowball, a Gingerbread Doll, a Present, Egg Nog Old Fashion and a Peppermint Crunch. The menu is subject to change, and there may or may not be other special offerings on the menu when you visit.

Holiday themed beverages are also making the menus this year. At the NBC Sports Bar & Grill has a Peppermint Mocha Martini for the season. It is made of cold brew, peppermint liquor, vodka, and a swirl of chocolate syrup.
A favorite spot of mine is Antojitos Cocina Mexicana. The atmosphere and food is incredible but this holiday season they have added three adult beverages to their menus. An Apple Cider Margarita, a Chestnut Horchata, and a Mistletoe Mule. All of these sound delicious, and I may need a quick visit to test them out!
From December 1st and up until a few days before Christmas, there will be live entertainment located in Universal Hollywood CityWalk. Local street performers, DJs, a circus act named “Christmas Rewind: A Circus Spectacle,” and even Drake Bell will be making an appearance. The date and times vary by entertainment type.
Even outside of Universal Studios Hollywood, there is so much to see and experience throughout the holiday season. If you are ready to plan a fun-filled adventure, reach out to Marvelous Mouse Travels today!
