Big things are happening at Walt Disney World! The holidays at Walt Disney World are always a huge celebration with decorations, entertainment, and FOOD! There are always special treats involved with the holidays and 2023 is bigger and better than ever! Let’s chat about some of the holiday food at Disney Springs this year!

First stop, Amorette’s Patisserie, home of the most decorated treats, almost too gorgeous to eat. Almost. Seven new holiday menu items have hit the streets, most of which look delicious. The ones I want to mention are the Holiday Sweets Petit Cake, the Mickey Winter Hat Dome Cake, and the Hot Cocoa Creme Brûlée. The Holiday Sweets Petit Cake is made up of multiple layers of spice cake with cream cheese icing, a dash of apricot jam and apple compote, then topped with an Italian buttercream. It is cheerfully decorated with a candy cane, gingerbread man, and cookies! Next is the Mickey Winter Hat Dome Cake, which is definitely too cute to eat. Made of vanilla chiffon cake and filled with chai tea mousse, this cake is sure to be popular. Also inside guests will find almond crunch, cranberry-cherry fruit paste, and the perfect amount of brown butter ganache. It is decorated to be made to look like a knit hat with a fluffy pom-pom and the famous Mickey Ears! The final dessert I want to mention here is the Hot Cocoa Creme Brûlée, but it most definitely is not the last thing being offered for the holiday season at Amorette’s Patisserie. Just as the title reveals, the Hot Cocoa Creme Brûlée is just that, but with a touch of roasted marshmallow cream, yum!
Also at different locations throughout Disney Springs, there will be a variety of new milkshakes being served. Chicken Guy has two! The first being a Holiday Cookie Shake made with a vanilla soft serve ice cream as the base, sugar cookie pieces and a delightful drizzle of caramel. Whipped cream is then placed on top with a sprinkle of chocolate pieces, sprinkles, and an entire cookie. The second shake at Chicken Guy is the Frozen Peppermint Cocoa Shake, which I think will be my favorite. Also started with a soft serve vanilla base and mixed with hot cocoa powder, peppermint, and tiny candy cane pieces, this shake is sure to get you into the holiday spirit. It is finally topped with a marshmallow flavored whipped cream, holiday sprinkles, and more candy cane pieces. The second location that is offering a new holiday shake is D-Luxe Burger. Here guests will find a Caramel Apple Pie Shake. This fun shake is crafted with vanilla gelato, Granny Smith apple syrup, cinnamon syrup, and a caramel sauce. It is then topped with a whipped cream swirl, caramel drizzle, and graham cracker crumbs. And finally is Planet Hollywood, which will be offering a Frosty the Snowman Shake which is quite different from the others. This mint chocolate chip milkshake has candies of red and green to help celebrate the special holiday and some holiday mints on top with homemade whipped cream and a snowman made of marshmallows.
Both Dockside Margarita and Frontera Cocina will be offering holiday-inspired beverages. Dockside Margarita, located in the Marketplace at Disney Springs, has crafted a Spiced Cranberry Paloma. Made with tequila, spiced simple syrup, and a mix of cranberry, lime, and grapefruit juice. Frontera Cocina is offering a Marzipan Delight. With a rim covered in marzipan pieces and a beverage mixed of tequila, Marzipan Cordial, and an in-house tres leches. You cannot go wrong with either of these adult beverages during your visit!
One of my favorite shops to visit is The Ganachery! There are always so many adorable chocolate creations with a wide variety of flavors. This holiday season The Ganachery is whipping up a new piñata! Gingerbread Mickey Chocolate Piñata to be exact, and it will be filled with gingerbread toffee pieces and the chocolate crisp pearls. There is a piñata crafted for each seasonal event, and even throughout the year. Also making its way to the shelves this year is the Mickey Chocolate-covered Gingerbread Cookies. These cookies are covered in milk chocolate or dark chocolate.
There hasn’t been a time that I have been to Disney Springs and Gideon’s Bakehouse has not had a line or a virtual queue return time if you can even get a return time at all. The treats inside are just that good. The holiday season is no exception for their delightful half-pound cookies. The first cookie, Cookie Vom Krampus is a chocolate cookie with a touch of mint. The second cookie is Kris Kringle Cookie made of a white chocolate coffee bean cookie and has glitter and sugar on top! These cookies are going to be popular, be sure to grab a spot in line early!

More sweet treats are on the way! Over at Marketplace Snacks you will find the adorable bubble cones with a snowy surprise, Olaf! The Olaf Waffle Sundae is sure to melt with your warm embrace. The bubble waffle cone is filled with vanilla soft serve ice cream, a swirl of peppermint, a sprinkle of candy snowflakes, and then placed on the top is a chocolate Olaf! How fun!
At Disney we always start with dessert, why? Because it needs the most room to enjoy. But we always have to try those savory options as well, and here will be the highlights of those at Disney Springs this year.
A Christmas Day special, yes Disney Springs is open on Christmas day and serving up this fabulous meal at Terralina Crafted Italian is grilled lamb chops with creamed spinach and artichokes, wild mushroom and parmesan risotto cake, mint, and basil sauce as described by Disney Destinations. Along with a Poinsettia, which is a cranberry mimosa. Over at Paddlefish, they will be offering a special Santa’s Seafood Boil containing Key West Shrimp, clams, and mussels with the traditional inclusions of corn and potatoes. Please keep in mind that these menu items are only available on December 25, 2023.
Jock Lindsay’s Hangar Bar is also offering new plates this season with three new items. First up is the Cranberry Barbeque Meatballs that consist of just that, meatballs with a cranberry sauce but also contains an orange goat cheese, sliced apples, and pieces of walnuts arranged beautifully on the dish. The next is Jock’s Famous Pig in the Blanket. This dish is crafted to resemble a holiday wreath, and has the pastry filled with Debreziner sausages and served with a cranberry mustard dipping sauce. The final item are these adorable little trees that are created out of ham and puff pastry all while stacked into the perfect little tree and topped with a cheese star.
