Hogsmeade Ride Queues

By:  Amy Norton, a Marvelous Mouse Travels agent

Visiting Hogsmeade during the late night hours of the special Wizarding World of Harry Potter event was absolutely amazing! The things we got to experience were great: eating at Three Broomsticks, lots of amazing photo opportunities, and going through the ride queue of two popular rides to experience all the little details Universal has put into each one! We also got to ride Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey at the start and let me tell you...it is a must do ride while in Hogsmeade.

As we entered through Hogsmeade we made our way over to Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey first. The castle was all lit up as we turned the corner and the castle show started! We placed any items we had in a locker to secure them during the ride. As you walk through the Boar’s gates of the Hogwarts Castle it feels like you are home! In this queue you will see so many different areas from dungeons, greenhouses, Dumbledores office and Gryffindor’s common room! Along the way you will see statues, Mirror of Erised, talking gallery photos, the sorting hat, and you’ll be greeted by Dumbledore. As Harry, Hermione, and Ron decide to take you on an adventure!

Our next stop during this special event was to the ride queue of Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure! As you walk down the winding path you are able to see the motorbikes as they zoom past you. Once in you will notice all the drawings right away on the walls. There are all kinds of different size and shaped eggs along the way. As you make your way through the tunnels you will see Hagrid’s equipment and research before entering the ride!

Make sure to explore and take a good look around as you are waiting in line for these two rides… and if you have Express Passes be sure to get in the standby Hogsmeade ride queues at least once to see what you could be missing! Take a lot of photos and enjoy what you are surrounded by as you explore the Wizarding World of Harry Potter!
