Halloween Treats at Walt Disney World

If you’re a Halloween enthusiast, like myself, your Halloween decorations may already be put out on display! The next wonderful thing to happen is the delicious treats that are also released early at Walt Disney World. Locations across the resorts have started releasing their spooky treats and will release even more in October!

The very first few sets of Halloween treats at Walt Disney World that have already been placed on the menu boards are the Halloween Minnie Waffle Sundae at Marketplace Snacks inside Disney Springs. This Mickey head shaped bubble waffle is filled with a chocolate soft serve ice cream and topped with orange sauce, candy corn, a white chocolate witches hat bow, and two cream-filled chocolate cookies for the ears. It is simply adorable!

Swirls on the Water, also located inside Disney Springs, has begun selling the Haunted Mansion Cone, A DOLE Whip Sampler, and an Apple Cider Slush with Pumpkin Soft Serve. The Haunted Mansion Cone has a black vanilla cone with pistachio and purple cheesecake soft serve swirl. Placed on top is purple and black sprinkles and the famous Hitchhiking Ghost chocolate piece. The DOLE Whip Sampler is served with three different flavors of swirls. First being the DOLE Whip and vanilla swirl with a slice of pineapple on top. The next is a pumpkin and salted caramel swirl topped with crispy pearls and caramel sauce. The final of the trio is the pistachio and purple cheesecake that is topped with roasted and salted pistachio pieces. The Apple Cider Slush with Pumpkin Soft Serve is just that, apple cider topped with pumpkin soft serve but can also be served as an alcoholic beverage with some Fireball Whiskey.

More items will be released beginning September 6, 2023 at Disney Springs. Beginning at Amorette’s Patisserie, guests will be able to find so many sweet treats available for purchase. Jack Skellington and Sally each have their own Eclair. Jack Skellington’s has a pumpkin cream filling and Sallys is caramel chocolate. On the trend of Disney’s Nightmare Before Christmas comes Oogie Boogie with a cream puff filled with a cookies ‘n cream mousse. Maleficent has an artfully decorated petit cake; a vanilla chiffon layered cake with caramel, a milk chocolate mousse, and some little pieces of shortbread.

The Ganachery always has some of the best seasonal chocolate in my opinion. They also generally offer a seasonal piñata. For this year's Halloween festivities they are crafting a Donald Candy Corn Chocolate Piñata that is filled with crispy candy pearls and marshmallows flavored with pumpkin-spice. There is also a second piñata being offered this year, a Pirate Mickey, but filled with chocolate golden coins, marshmallows treats, and crispy pearl pieces.

Minnie Mouse is also represented with a Minnie Trick-or-Treat Chocolate Pop. The Ganachery is offering so many more amazing Halloween treats this year, you will just have to plan a trip to Walt Disney World to see them all!

Disney’s All Star Value Resorts are offering the most adorable Mickey Pumpkin Cheesecake. The cheesecake has a chocolate-ginger torte and an almond crumble. There is also a savory option of Chicken Adobo Nachos that is topped with toasted pumpkin seeds, roasted corn, and a zesty pumpkin sauce.

Disney’s Pop Century and Art of Animation will also be serving the Chicken Adobo Nachos along with a Whoopie Monster treat. The whoopie pies are made of caramel and apple flavors and filled with a marshmallow buttercream. ‘

The Moderate and Deluxe Resorts are also offering some amazing Halloween treats at Walt Disney World this year. Disney’s Port Orleans French Quarter will offer a spooky variety of beignets. The Ghoulish Delight Beignets have cookies and cream powdered sugar and drizzled with a marshmallow creme. Also on the menu at French Quarter and Riverside Resorts is a chocolate cake with a layer of chocolate-coffee mousse and a layer of milk chocolate-caramel mousse then delightfully decorated as a tombstone.

Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort has a new dessert as well, the Pumpkin Hazelnut Tart is a chocolate based tart that is filled with a hazelnut ganache and topped with a swirl of pumpkin cheesecake.

The two properties, Disney’s Old Key West Resort and Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort and Spa are both offering a Mini Pumpkin. This dessert consists of pumpkin flavored mousse, caramel, dulce crunch, and topped with a chocolate decor (as described by Disney Parks Blog) to create the pumpkin.

While there are so many more sweets and treats available to choose from, you will have to see for yourself just how amazingly ghoulish and delicious they all truly are. There is still time to reach out and plan your Fall vacation to Walt Disney World or Disneyland to experience the Halloween magic for yourself.
