Halloween Treats Added To Disney World Resorts

It’s the most wonderful time of the year, Halloween! Or at least I think so! Along with the fall decorations, not-so-spooky fun, and music, comes Halloween treats in the parks and resorts! Recently, Disney Destinations has announced even more spook-tacular treats coming to Walt Disney World! The new items will begin on October 1, 2023 and will be available until the end of the month when the festivities wind down for the year.

First let’s start with the new sweet Halloween treats that will be found at the Walt Disney World Resorts. Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge, The Mara, will have a Black Cat Tart. This dessert will contain carrot cake, pumpkin cheesecake, and toasted coconut, and caramel all crafted together for an amazing little tart.

Halloween Treats Shake Beaches n Cream

Disney’s Beach Club Resort will have two locations offering great additions. Beach Club Marketplace will offer a Captain Hook Cookie, which is a bright red in color, vanilla sable cookie, filled with strawberry jam and a peanut butter ganache with buttercream, and decorated with chocolate mustache pieces and hook! At the same location will be a gorgeous looking Ursula Tart. The vanilla flavored tart is filled with a spice cake and chocolate ganache, with a layer of blackberry pearls, and finally topped with blackberry mousse and a chocolate pendant piece crafted to resemble the shell necklace. The next location, still at Disney’s Beach Club Resort, is Beaches & Cream Soda Shop. This year, returning to the fall menu is the Butter Pecan-Pumpkin Shake in a decorative soda shop glass, you will find a mixture of butter pecan ice cream with a touch of pumpkin flavored milkshake and topped with a bright orange pumpkin decorated cupcake. The Captain Hook Cookie and Ursula Tart will also be available at Disney’s Yacht Club Resort inside the The Market at Ale & Compass.

The BroadWalk Inn also features some tasty Halloween treats this year at the BoardWalk Deli and at Carousel Coffee. A Half Moon Cookie will grace the dessert cases at BoardWalk Deli, decorated with half black and half orange icing with an adorable mickey placed at the bottom. The Creep Cupcake, which does not look very creepy, is a vanilla cupcake with a blood orange curd center filling, then topped with a vanilla whipped cream and chocolate cookie crumbs, and finally decorated with three orange sugar pumpkins and a gravestone piece marked R.I.P. on top. The last treat is a boo-tiful one. A Mickey shaped brownie with a layer of chocolate ganache and three spooky buttercream ghosts, yum!

Halloween Treats Contempo Cafe

Heading over to Disney’s Contemporary Resort, guests will find a Caramel Apple-Sugar Cookie and Haunted Mansion Eclair located inside the Contempo Cafe. Each delightfully gorgeous! The Caramel Apple-Sugar Cookie has adorable fall colored sprinkles with a swirl of buttercream topping and caramel drizzle. The Haunted Mansion Eclair is a must try! The center is filled with a caramel apple mousse, topped with a chocolate ganache and finally a Haunted Mansion “purple wallpaper” chocolate piece.

A quick visit to Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort will find you with three new delectables on the menu at Gasparilla Island Grill. An adorable new Mike Wizowski Pop could be too cute to eat. This confetti cake pop with green chocolate coating has only one eye, and will always be watching. A new ghost friend is also making an appearance, the S’mores Ghost Tart is all parts of a s’more, just in a different style. The graham cracker tart is filled with a ganache, milk chocolate mousse, and topped with an adorable marshmallow ghost with a halloween themed sprinkled rim. The last new item is a Not-So-Poison Apple. The cauldron is shaped out of chocolate and filled with a spice cake, a sweet apple filling, and a caramel buttercream and some apple mousse. I’m not sure how the culinary team did it, but this dessert looks stunning!

A quick trip to the wilderness will land you at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground where guests can find a new Pumpkin Sugar Cookie and Spooky Mini Cookies and Dipping Cream. The Pumpkin Sugar Cookie is a classic sugar cookie with a tie-dye twist and decorated with orange buttercream to create the perfect pumpkin look. The Spooky Mini Cookies and Dipping Cream is a perfect shareable treat, if you choose to share. Shapes of bats and ghosts of Halloween colors are paired with a side of icing for this delicious treat.

Sticking to the wilderness theme, Disney’s Wilderness Lodge has a fantastic Haunted Forest Apple Mousse. This beautifully crafted work of art is made of a green cake with two different types of mousse; cookies ‘n cream and sour apple.

Each theme park will also have seasonal offerings beginning October 1st and run through the 31st of the month, but only two notable new items. At EPCOT the Connections Cafe will have a Mickey Halloween Liege Waffle. This new item is made of dark chocolate and will feature green and purple icing. Sunshine Seasons, found inside The Land Pavilion, will have an adorable Bat Mousse that is crafted from three layers of candy corn flavored white chocolate mousse, made to look like the candy, and covered with a dark chocolate glaze and adorable wings and eye decor.
