As Winter has turned into Spring, and then Spring will turn into Summer, we are already counting down the days to the best season of the year (in my opinion)...Fall! With the changing of the seasons, we can count on one horrifyingly fantastic event, Universal Orlando’s Halloween Horror Nights to return! Recently, Universal Parks and Resorts has released the dates and tickets for this year's events!
This year the special ticketed event kicks off on Friday, September 1, 2023 and will run on select nights through Tuesday, October 31, 2023. Tickets for Universal’s Halloween Horror Nights will cost approximately $79.99 - $119.99 plus tax, depending on the night selected for the event. While attending the separate ticket event, there are 10 thrilling houses that you can experience. I suggest purchasing the Express Pass (also a separate upgraded purchase), this will essentially allow you to skip the lines for entry into the haunted houses, and provides more time to experience the other attractions.
Throughout the theme park, you will wander into Scare Zones! These areas are honestly the best experience. While you’re scanning through the scare zone, taking in all of the sights, chances are there is a scare actor watching you and will pop up out of nowhere! I have no idea how they do it, but screams are coming from every direction in the Scare Zones.
As with most events offered at Universal Orlando, there will be themed food, beverages, and merchandise to help commemorate the event. I am a collector of pins, and last year they had a few standard options and a surprise box set. T-shirts and sweatshirts were also available exclusively for the event. The Tribute Store, which rotates out with each seasonal event, will be the largest merchandise selection and treats for the event.
Select restaurants are open, and have a special menu featuring food and beverage items that can only be ordered during the event. There are also booths around the park that serve items like Maggot Covered Cheese Dogs, 100% Ground Princess, and a Pepperoni Pizza Skull. This year's menus have not been released yet, but I’m sure they will not disappoint!
