Halloween Horror Nights Event Tips and Tricks 2021

If you have ever been to Universal Orlando during Halloween Horror Nights you know 2 of 2 things!

1. It’s one of the busiest times of year
2. It’s one of the most epic events in the universe

Regardless if you have or have never been to Halloween Horror Nights also known as HHN, here are tips and tricks to better help you plan for the most spine chilling, fun, terrifying, awesome time of your life. Let’s get started!

• Purchase a Halloween Horror Nights Express Pass (not to be confused with the daily park express pass that comes with premier resort stays or are for purchase during the daytime at the parks). The HHN express pass must be purchased separately. It is the best purchase you will make aside from your HHN event ticket. In most cases it will cut your wait time in half for the haunted houses throughout the park.
• Don't skip on the HHN shows! Some of the shows for this year's event received accolades stating that the show resembles something out of Las Vegas.
• Plan for all types of weather. Orlando is known for pop up rain showers and cooler nights in the fall and winter. Therefore, it pays to bring a poncho or umbrella for those
  rain showers and dress in layers for those cooler nights.
• If possible, plan to go during a weekday, like Wednesday or Thursday. The crowd levels and wait times for the houses and shows will be much lower.

  

• Bring your appetite for good food and even better drinks. Halloween Horror Nights offers unconventional food and beverages that are not normally found throughout the parks during the day. There are special food and beverage booths and stands set up throughout HHN for your enjoyment.
• Last but not least...if you are planning to visit HHN on a day in which you have not also purchased a day ticket, make sure you purchase the “Scream Early Pass”. This pass gains you early entry into Universal Studios, which then allows you to wait in a holding area in the park so that you are among the first groups of people to enjoy the houses.
