As April comes to a close, there is one thing we can celebrate, we are officially halfway to Halloween. For some, this may just be another time of the year, but for those that adore Halloween the way I do, it means two things, a week to pull out the Halloween gear, and special Halfway to Halloween eats and treats inside the Disney Parks! During this short period of time, Walt Disney World and Disneyland put together a little extra special treat menu that is for a limited time only. This year, some of the spooky treats are themed after the Haunted Mansion, in celebration of the new movie being premiered in theaters on July 28, 2023. Treats will only be available from April 20 through April 23, at select locations throughout the parks and resorts in both Walt Disney World and Disneyland.
To kick off the sweet treats, returning from the grave is the Happy Haunts MilkShake being served at Columbia Harbour House inside Disney’s Magic Kingdom. This incredible blackberry shake topped with a chocolate donut debuted in 2021 for the Halloween festivities that year, and has been a sweet treat during Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party.
Jack Skellington is also asking “What’s This?” As he is placed on the top of a fabulous freshly made bubble waffle cone. Inside the cone you will find chocolate soft-serve ice cream, drizzled with marshmallow fluff, hot fudge, and some fun Halloween themed sprinkles! This delicious item can be found at Marketplace Snacks inside of Disney Springs.

Hopping over to Disneyland, you will also find an assortment of halfway to Halloween sweets and treats as well. Making a frightful return this year is the Oogie Boogie Crisped Rice Treat! The famous rice crispy treat is shaped like the “shadow on the moon at night” and covered in green dyed white chocolate. Also at Disneyland, there is a hauntingly good new churro flavor being sold! The same delicious churro will be drizzled with a mix of peanut butter and chocolate sauces, then sprinkled with candy coated peanut butter candies! The cutest macaroons are there as well, orange colored macaroons with a fruity cereal flavored filling will be decorated to resemble jack-o- lanterns!
As with every seasonal celebration, the adorably decorated caramel apples will make a return with a Minnie Mouse witch theme! These are always so cute to look at through the case! Also found being spooky is the Jack Skellington vanilla cake pop!
While there are so many more treats to choose from at both Walt Disney World and Disneyland Resorts, there just is not enough time to try them all, especially since they are for just a short period of time. There is still time however to plan your next Disney vacation, to either resort, to help celebrate Halloween! Be sure to reach out to a Marvelous Mouse Travels agent today to get your next Disney vacation started!
