It was announced a while back that a Guardians of the Galaxy ride would be coming to Epcot sometime in the near future. This was part of the many extensive renovations that are taking over many areas of the Epcot park currently. Formerly a home to “Ellen’s Universe of Energy” this new attraction will be a welcomed addition to the Future World section of the theme park. All these changes to the park are going to be epic and will be rolling out throughout the next few years.
But the time has come! Some of the Marvel Universal will be hitting the parks! Buckle up for the intergalactic chase through time and space with the Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind. This new attraction is scheduled to start rocking and rolling May 27th of this year!
The first “other-world” showcase pavilion at Epcot, called the Wonders of Xandar pavilion is coming to earth side thanks to the Xandarians! Guests will get to learn more about their technology and culture as they explore this pavilion. They will get to really see how similar our two cultures actually are. Join Quill, Groot and Rocket on this fun family roller coaster. It’s going to be such a fun day when Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind releases its awesome mixtape of an attraction to the world. Who’s ready for this awesome ride and another addition brought to guests during the 18 month long celebration of Walt Disney World resorts’s 50th anniversary!
Stay tuned for all the other changes being made to Epcot during this time as well. As the scaffolding slowly starts to come down around the park and some of these new changes are revealed it is all starting to really come together. The mission statement of Epcot has always been a park of tomorrow, and these great changes really are bringing futuristic experiences for guests of all ages!
