Summer is almost here and that means one thing, opening for Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point! We have entertainment, we have merchandise, and now we officially have a menu! Yes, the official Foodie Guide from Disney Destinations has been released. Let’s review it a bit and see what is in store for the amazing bites with a Bahamian flare offered on the new private island of Disney Cruise Line.

First and foremost is the practices that Disney is following to be sustainable on Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point. The island is built with the commitment of “sending zero waste to the landfill” as stated by Disney Destinations. They will even be using reusable service ware at the food and beverage locations across the island. This even includes cups that will be stainless steel! What an amazing project for Disney Cruise Line to commit themselves to to help the environment.
Disney Castaway Cay has food service locations called Cookies BBQ and Cookies Too BBQ. The new island will also offer two locations for families called True-True BBQ and True-True Too BBQ. There will also be a food and beverage location at the adults only location in Serenity Bay called Serenity Bay BBQ.
Guests can expect Grilled Cheeseburgers, Grilled BBQ Ribs, and even an Island Spiced Rotisserie Chicken. Sides and salads will also be served with the BBQ lunch along with other dishes inspired by the Bahamian culture. There will also be items like Bahamian Pigeon Peas & Rice, Bahamian-style Lime marinated grilled snapper, and a plant-based Island Curry with tofu.
For refreshing beverages there will be six locations throughout the island. Locations named Reef and Wreck Bar, Sandsational Smoothies, Watering Hole, Bow and Ribbon Bar, Mangroves and Go, and finally Blue Hole Bar. There will also be a signature cocktail for Disney Lookout Cay named the Eleuthera Euphoria. The drink will be made with a mix of pineapple, rum, a smoothie mix, and DOLE Whip! Other beverage options are a Bahama Brew which is a cold brew coffee that is blended with a Hawaiian island syrup. Another option is Butterfly Switcha that is a beautiful mocktail made with lemonade, butterfly pea jasmine green tea, and a dusting of edible blue glitter.
