First Time at Halloween Horror Nights?

First Time at Halloween Horror Nights

By:  Jenna Ensign, a Marvelous Mouse Travels agent

If you have not attended Universal Orlando’s Halloween Horror Nights (HHN), you are missing out! I am admittedly NOT a fan of horror, or anything scary or Halloween for that matter, and it was my first time at Halloween Horror Nights this year; now I am now SOLD!

HHN Halloween Horror NIghts

Halloween Horror Nights is in its 31st year. There are 10 houses, 5 scare zones, and 1 show running currently (Nightmare Fuel). Other years, there is an additional show, a water show, which Hurricane Ian cancelled this year’s rendition.

I had no clue what to expect going in. The last time I visited a haunted house was over 15 years ago and I swore I’d never go back, but this…. This is different! The amazing detail in which all of the houses are created, the stories behind each house and scare zone along with the FANTASTIC scare actors make each stop a work of art.

The entrance to the park takes you right into the first scare zone! Here you are greeted by a slew of creatures that will set the tone for the night! Finding the first house, and making it though is a feat, and after that…. I was set! I knew more of what to expect and what to look for. This put me at ease and made me excited to see what other houses had to offer.

First Time at Halloween Horror Nights Haunted Houses

On my night at HHN, I was able to accomplish all 10 houses, plus a second walk through one, all 5 scare zones, the Nightmare Fuel show and enjoy drinks and snacks with my friends! The people make the night! Our group was AMAZING and we had laughs, tears, screams and FUN!

First Time at Halloween Horror Nights RIP Tour

I had no idea how great this event was, and can now see why people continue to visit year after year. I will be back! This is a HUGE event on both coasts and I strongly suggest Express Passes or an RIP Tour for your night of horror!
