When people ask me: “why do you love Disney so much?” My answer: because of the magic! Disney is an expert at making grown adults feel like a child again. Part of that is all the childhood memories that come rushing back when I am there.
Watching fireworks with my dad is a favorite childhood memory of mine. We would sit on the rooftop to get a better view of all the stunning fireworks nearby. That’s one of the main reasons I am so excited for the fireworks to come back to Disney, and I am sure fireworks bring back so many memories for a lot of people!
Fireworks will start back just in time for Independence Day at both Walt Disney World and Disneyland. They will begin on July 1st in Walt Disney World and July 4th in Disneyland. Along with the fireworks celebrations, several other nighttime shows will be returning to the parks this summer.
At Walt Disney World, “Happily Ever After” will transform Cinderella castle in the Magic Kingdom into a colorful imagery of your favorite Disney stories. Set along with music, the castle becomes an array of lights and spectacular magical effects. In EPCOT, “EPCOT Forever” will transform scenery over the World Showcase Lagoon to make even your wildest imaginations come to life. This show is an eye-catching musical performance that will bring you back to the past before traveling to the present and future of EPCOT.
In Disneyland, you can expect to be thrilled by the “Mickey’s Mix Magic” show, set to begin on Independence Day. You can be sure to be all but amazed when Main Street, U.S.A, Sleeping Beauty castle and the façade of “It’s a Small World” are magically converted into a brilliant-glowing extravaganza with projections, lasers, and of course, fireworks.
